Let’s go The summer sun is beaming And it’s the weekend Grab your bike I’ll get mine Oh don’t forget the snacks I wonder what discoveries will be made Or how far we will go I hear the sounds Of water flowing Almost there Down the path Only a few steps away There it is The creek Our freedom away from the world Just us and nature Two kids Living their life
Where Our Voices Turn Update
I wanted to give everyone a quick update on Where Our Voices Turn. With everything that has happened over the past couple of weeks—including losing my laptops unexpectedly—I fell behind on the formatting and final production of the book. I appreciate everyone's patience more than you know. The good news is that I'm back up and running with a new laptop, and I'm working through the manuscript every day. My goal is to have Where Our Voices Turn completed and published next week. Thank you to each of you for your understanding, encouragement, and belief in this project. I refuse to rush something that represents your voices. Every poem deserves the care and attention it was written with. We're almost there. Thank you for staying on this journey with me. ❤️📖

The Pocket Challenge Imagine you reach into an old coat pocket and pull out something impossible. What is it? Who did it belong to? How did it change your life? Write a poem inspired by that mysterious object. No rules. No limits. Just let your imagination run wild. 🐵 Monkey says: "Sometimes the smallest things carry the biggest stories." ✍️

This use to mean something Long talks in the phone Trips to the museum Now I see it as a memory A memory where things changed Between us No longer two But one And then somehow Us as one became three Moving along without you May have looked hard However It felt so easy This ring I found in my pocket Has the same feeling And now It must go

Let’s go!!!
The Honest (complete)
If you really want to know what a truth is Tell a lie Soon you will see A truth show itself Yes It will creep up like a ninja And take the other person out No questions asked Growing up You're told that the truth Shall set you free But in reality The truth Hurts You see The truth can be as calm As a summer breeze But can easily Turn into a tornado Causing chaos wherever it goes A truth can be a butterfly Gentle Peaceful But without notice Become as angry as a bear Aggressive Untamed This thing called a truth Will break grown men down to their knees And make the warmest heart cold It can held in your mind Looking for an escape Trying to find the right door to exit from But sometimes Like a secret A person will take it to the grave For they know Deep inside They don’t want to cause trouble Or become a reason A reason for sorrow A reason for regret A reason For Death Maybe that’s why we tell a lie A lie can give false hope Yet protect It can divert feelings Without showing real emotions To be honest Want to know what a truth is? I wish I could tell you But it would just be a lie
