Wow, reading the comments reminded me of how different everyone’s lifestyle is. I live on my own with my two dogs and I tend to keep to myself. Family are over an hour away and I don’t have a circle of friends right now and I’m okay with that because my time and energy are focused elsewhere. I am a hermit and I love the solitary life. Honestly, there are a lot of “personal” things that I am looking forward to —and it goes way beyond this weekend. I want to drastically downsize my life, which means getting rid of 70% of my belongings. Where that is going to lead, I don’t know yet, but it’s a nudge I feel within. I am looking forward to a clean, organized, “almost empty” house because it’s been in shambles for the past 8 years. I am looking forward to enjoying the process of becoming because I have a feeling that this “downsizing and organizing” chapter of my life is a necessary stepping stone for the next. One thing I noticed within myself is that regardless of how much I get accomplished in a day, I hardly ever celebrate or praise myself —instead I feel defeated, as if nothing I do is enough because the change isn’t obvious. A part of me wants the progress to move faster yet I am only one person and it’s hard to keep up with it all. Or maybe now is the time I change that story to say "A part of me wants the progress to move faster and yet the magic is in slowing down and being present with the process of it all.” I am practicing slowing down, being present, and enjoying the process —and I am really looking forward to when I get to enjoy the fruits of my labour! 😁

@Anna Choi Luckily we received a couple days of enough rain that helped get the wildfire under control 😅 Yes, we (puppies and I) are officially back home and can now relax and get back into our routine. I grew up in a hoarder house where things were packed into boxed and piled up to the ceiling with a narrow 2 feet space left to walk from one room to another, so this situation that I got myself into is triggering. It’s nowhere near as bad at all, but my disorganized and cluttered environment is unpleasant. I have been admiring Japanese floor mattresses for years now. I want to sell my full Queen mattress and frame for a simple floor matt. I know it will be better for my back, and I kind of like the idea of being closer to my dogs —on the floor with them 😆 Plus it makes it easier to roll out of bed for a mini yoga session cause you are practically already on the floor.

@Alyne Padilla Aww, thank you so much Alyne. Follow your intuition to visualizing that conversation because I think it could be extremely healing —when you feel ready of course. I could only get myself to light a candle and sit with it to chat with my dad after 3 years. But in those first 3 years there was a lot of anger and yelling at him (the air) for leaving so soon. I inherited his expresso machine so now I have coffee with him every morning. Grieve at your own pace and I hope you find peace within to meet with them soon. 🤗 💕

@Lori Theriault You are very welcome and maybe NOW is the time to start moving those books from your head onto paper! I want to write a book too but have no idea about what 🤣 I just know I love reading and writing, and journaling is one of my favourites too since I started back in 2010. I have filled about 60 journals since —everything from daily experiences and events, to information I researched that helped me in some way on my healing journey, to insights and downloads I receive in meditation or dreams. I don’t know if I’ll ever have a use for them but they make me happy 😄 Btw, I love pottery!! I have a favourite mug and fruit bowl and a bread pan, and I slowly keep adding to my collection —I admire you for being a potter 😍
Day 5 Challenge: Mastering Moods

@Anna Choi Awesome!! 😁 It’s getting pretty full 🤣 It’s interesting to see where I was distracted with the double smiles, and times I was more present and aware, and times when I was rushed to track it.
