As Taches closes its doors here, I want to take a moment to thank you all for the guidance, information, and, most importantly, the fun we’ve shared. Beginner in Ableton Live: looking for tips, tricks, and resources!

Taches recently created the Bitwig community, which has been awesome so far! However, I’ve recently decided to add Ableton Live to my workflow and have hit a bit of a roadblock - there’s just TOO much information out there. For those who are experienced with Ableton, what are your personal favorite resources (videos, tutorials, blogs, etc.) for learning the essentials, especially for beginners? Additionally: • What are your go-to Max for Live devices? (Which ones are truly essential in your workflow?) • How do you integrate Ableton with other DAWs? (If you use multiple DAWs, I’d love to hear how you manage workflows between them.)

Access to Discord has mysteriously vanished!

Hello, @Lex Christopherson! Do you know of any reason why my Discord icon to your Discord server has vanished? I'm certain it's nothing that I have done deliberately! Now, of course, I cannot rejoin because the Discord code, that you gave me before, has expired.

🗄️ Tracking Projects & Releases

Question! In general but also @Lex Christopherson how do you keep track of your working projects and releases? I’m guessing a spreadsheet would be a good start. I’ve got folders of work to finish and release, some are intentional groups of tracks but most are just like a year or month with dozens of tracks. Curious how people manage and organize this sort of housekeeping. Thanks!

Kanban board with tools like trello or if you into knowledge base for life organization (e.g. Obsidian and similar) then usually those support plugin. I mean at the end it's a set of projects so you can just use tools that tech companies/engineers use to organize their projects

@Travis Basso so Im going to have the first release soon - means process isn’t fully set yet. I do it for everything including draft ideas. at the end it doesn’t matter when you name tracks, Im using any name that may help me to identify project at the beginning. You likely going to develop process that convenient for you. I have info page with all possible notes, links, ideas, inspirations, pictures, whatever per each draft, and main meta page with links to all song pages, and ideas links etc which may become drafts later. Then I track current state on the board for each draft, also use tags. In case of release there is different process related to steps of workflow which isnt done yet eg register on baby audio, create cover, setup date, post on instagram, etc. I do everything in obsidian.
