🌱 RECONNECTING WITH YOUR PROJECT 🌱
Sometimes the biggest thing holding us back isn't a lack of ability. It's simply becoming disconnected from the project, dream, or goal that once excited us. Life gets busy. (This is my household at the moment - thats ok) Responsibilities pile up. Unexpected challenges appear. And before we know it, the thing we were so excited about has been pushed to the bottom of the list. Here is the good news? You don't have to start over. You simply need to reconnect. Reconnect with the reason you started. (Discover your strong why- need help? There is an exercise in the classroom). Reconnect with the impact you want to make. Reconnect with the person you're becoming through the process. Progress doesn't come from doing everything at once. It comes from taking the next step. So this week, let's focus on moving forward rather than being perfect. ✨ What would move your project forward most this week? Vote in the poll below and let's encourage one another along the way. šŸ’› šŸ“Š Poll What would move your project forward most this week? šŸ’¬ I'd love to hear more in the comments — what project are you reconnecting with right now?

@Leeanne Hurren About 10 months ago, I realized I had become disconnected from caring for myself. I knew how to care for others, but I had stopped giving that same attention to my own life. What helped me reconnect was remembering my why. I wanted to have more energy, improve my health, and become the best version of myself so I could continue caring for others. Since then, I have lost 55 pounds, but more importantly, I have built habits around my five pillars of self care: Physical, Mental, Emotional, Spiritual, and Connections. For me, the next step this week is simple: keep walking, eat a little better than I did this weekend, and stay connected to the people and communities that support my self care. Small steps move us forward.
While you are waiting
There can be moments where I seem to waiting for the next mentee to come for my business, waiting whilst I look after a grand child, Waiting whilst I take care of my foster daughter and her cares, waiting whilst my husband is working/ sleeping from a night shift. Waiting to feel better ...waiting...waiting... Sometimes it is great to let your brain "stop" in the waiting. other times it is great to just do what I can with the time that I have. Today was one of those "learn something that has been intriguing me... so here it is - still not finished , somewhat flu bitten, my attempt to learn this vocal riff... now where is my big and shiny diamond xx What are you creating at the moment? Are you happy to let us into your world and share a little?

@Leeanne Hurren I am creating a classroom for people to learn how to write their stories about care without using Ai. Tell Your Care Story

@Leeanne Hurren On Skool, you do not get points for liking a post, but my understanding is that you get one point when someone likes your post or comment. I might be wrong, but that is how I see it working. Even though liking a post does not give you points, I still think it is good Skoolettiquette to like a post before replying. It shows respect, supports the person sharing, and helps more people see their post. It also helps build a positive and connected community. When you take a moment to like someone’s post, it can encourage more engagement, and that often leads to more people noticing and liking your posts too. I want to be clear, this is only my understanding of how this works.

@Leeanne Hurren yes. Wait a hot minute. Is that what the flame is for? I had no idea
Finding Your Creativity (It’s Already in You)
On Skool, there are a lot of people creating content every day. It can be easy to look around and think, ā€œI’m not as creative as them.ā€ I hear this often in messages and conversations. But I don’t believe it. Everyone has creativity. It just shows up in different ways, and sometimes it just needs space to come out. For me, creativity didn’t come from trying to be creative. It came from paying attention. When I was driving for Uber full time, I started to notice something. The people in my back seat were carrying stories. Stories of care, stress, love, and real life. That’s when something clicked. My creativity started to flow, not because I forced it, but because I noticed it. I began to experiment. Nothing fancy. I kept a simple notebook in my car. After a ride, I would pull over somewhere quiet and write down a few highlights. Just the moments that stood out. A sentence here. A thought there. Later, I would take those notes and turn them into a story. That was it. Simple steps. But when I shared those stories, people connected with them. They saw something real. And they called it creative. I also think it’s important to find your creative side and actually enjoy it. Whether it’s at work or in your personal life, creativity should feel life-giving, not draining. If it starts to feel like a chore, it’s okay to stop or redirect. That doesn’t mean you’re not creative. It just means you may need a different outlet. I’ve been through many versions of this myself, trying different ways to express what’s inside me until something felt right again. Here’s what I’ve learned. Creativity is not about being better than someone else. It’s about being honest with what you see, feel, and experience. It’s about noticing moments that others might pass by and choosing to share them in your own way. Your ā€œnotebookā€ might not be a notebook. It could be voice notes on your phone. It could be short posts. It could be conversations you remember. It could be something you see at work, at home, or even standing in line somewhere. Creativity grows when you capture those moments and give them a place to live.

@Flory Fuller Thank you! Welcome to come on over and check out my community for stories of care in my back seat.
I am working on ways to help you
I’m thinking of offering a 1:1 Canva content workshop — 30 minutes, $30 — where we work together on your ideas and content in real time together. The Goal: Share my skills in Canva to be able to get your ideas into posts and graphics. To generate another stream of income so that I can spend more time doing what i love to do! Does this land for you?

Here is why. I like this so much. I am tired of Chatgpt. I want help with originality. Like I want to put the work into it to make it my own and not get a prompt to make something look like what everyone else is already doing.
