Hello everyone, My name is Jason Strickland, and I’m the founder of The Art of Poetry Community. I just wanted to introduce myself and say how honored I am to be connected with Joshua and the beautiful work being done here at Grace 4 Africa Child Care Orphanage. Joshua recently sent me a video of the children saying hello I'll be honest it touched my heart deeply. Moments like that remind me why kindness, words, poetry, and community matter so much. The Art of Poetry is a community of writers, poets, dreamers, and everyday people who believe words can heal, encourage, and bring people together. I’m grateful for the chance to share a little love, encouragement, and poetry with these amazing children. To Joshua, the children, and everyone here thank you for welcoming me. I’m truly honored to be part of this connection. With respect and gratitude, Jason Strickland Founder, The Art of Poetry Community
"The Superpower You Forgot”
Please read to the children for me my friend Hey you, yes YOU, don’t look around, I’m talking to you right now, right now! Did you know you’ve got some power inside? Not in your shoes, not something you hide. It’s not in your pockets, it’s not in your shoe, It’s something amazing that lives inside YOU! It shows when you laugh, it shines when you smile, It helps you be brave when things take a while. It grows when you try, even if you fall, It stands you back up and says, “Give it your all!” You don’t need a cape, you don’t need to fly, You don’t need magic to reach for the sky. Just be who you are, strong and true, Because the real superpower is YOU. By Jason The Poet The Art of Poetry Community
"The Superpower You Forgot”
To the amazing kids at Grace 4 Africa child care orph,
Please read this to the kids thank you my friend Hello my friends, I’m writing to say, You’re strong and you matter in every way. No matter your story, no matter your start, You carry a light deep down in your heart. When days feel hard and things go wrong, Remember inside you is courage so strong. Keep learning, keep smiling, keep shining bright, You’re growing each day into something right. There are people who care, though we’re far apart, We’re cheering you on with a full, loving heart. So stand up tall and believe it’s true The future is bright 👉 because of YOU. Your Friend, Jason The Poet The Art of Poetry Community

I wrote a poem for you all
“You Are More Than Enough” In a world that forgets, in a world that moves fast, You’re writing a future, not stuck in the past. With feet in the dust but your eyes on the sky, You’re proof to the world that a dream doesn’t die. They don’t see your strength when they glance from afar, But I see it clear you’re a rising bright star. Not broken, not lost, not a story of pain, You’re the thunder that dances inside of the rain. You laugh and the silence don’t know what to do, ‘Cause joy like yours breaks right on through. No riches can measure, no gold could define, The fire inside you unyielding, divine. You don’t need a crown just to show you are king, You don’t need a stage just to prove you can sing. Your voice is a drum, your heart is the beat, And the world will feel it each time that you speak. So stand a little taller, let your spirit be loud, You don’t chase the world you’ll make it proud. From streets made of dust to dreams bold and wide, You carry a power the world can’t hide. And one day they’ll say, “Where did they begin?” Not knowing the greatness was always within. So hold onto hope like it’s yours because it is, Your future’s not waiting… your future is this. @Elizabeth O'Carroll thank you so much that really means a lot to me. That poem came straight from the heart after seeing what Joshua and those kids are going through. Knowing it resonated with you too that’s exactly why I write. Appreciate you taking the time to share that. ❤️
