Getting squeezed with aces.
Is there any merit to flatting in this spot vs a good reg to keep in the very loose player on the button? I know that it is a standard 4-bet in theory, but pushing out the lag in order to flip against the pro doesn't seem like a great play.

@Slzemf Slzemf I think the benefits of getting more money in with AA preflop outweigh the gains of winning more from the weak player on later streets. The good reg will also be isolating the weak player wider too, increasing the EV of your Aces preflop against his raising range and increasing the likelihood he Raise-folds.
Maybe too aggressive?
https://www.pokerstarsreplayer.com/hands/7bfceaa73c I shoved after the the sb 4 bets with a short stack on the button, I guess I should have just called and seen the flop?

@Mark Struzynski If he is saying to not open 789T Double-Suited don't listen. It's pretty much a mandatory RFI Under the Gun vs any stack size.
What hand do you want to have here?
6-max PLO25 all 100bb deep UTG pots, CO calls, folds to you and you're sitting in the BB 1) What hand would you like to have here ? 2) What is the minimum hand you'd call with ?

@Muad Dib For that specific situation, I would guess hand A (K876 xxyy) does a lot worse multiway in a single raised pot because of the lower suits and lower straight possibilities. More importantly, don't get too hung up on comparing individual hands. You will always be able to find weird strategies implemented by the solver with specific combos. When you come across a spot like this that you want to study, look up the overall strategy with Double-suited, unpaired Kxxx, and then it should be easier to spot patterns.

@Johnny Stone I still very much disagree and think he should learn what a value range looks like from a solver. Otherwise a newer player like him is just guessing. Like maybe his intuition will tell him that any QQXX hand is a value raise or something.

I would have checked the flop. See some turns and make mostly easy decisions based on the runout. Committing yourself on the flop with a pot-sized bet can lead to you putting the money in really bad when one of your opponents has top-pair+ with a flush draw. I don't think the equity denial you gain from betting is worth the risk.

@David E I just think it’s not ideal to put yourself in a position where you have to get it in that deep vs a range that you’re either flipping against or that has you dominated. And I think you are dominated a decent amount here when that happens. You’re kinda hoping your opponent has something like top set when he raises (that you’re flipping against) and not something like an overpair + flush draw that has you crushed.
Cbet sizing in 3-bet pots?
A general question about cbet size in 3-bet pots. What are your typical cbet sizes OTF on different board textures IP and/or OOP after 3-betting preflop (100BB effective)? For instance when the flop is: 1) Unpaired dry / dynamic 2) Paired dry / dynamic 3) Straight dry / dynamic 4) Monotone

Here's my rule of thumb based on solver outputs (for both IP and OOP): 1) Two sizings: Pot and Half Pot 2 & 4) 1/3 Pot 3) 1/2 Pot Then on the turn you generally start developing a larger, more polarizing bet size option for situations 2, 3 & 4

@Hans H Dryer flops tend to have higher potting frequencies when compared dynamic flops. Out of position, you can get away with having only a half pot sizing on a lot of dynamic flops. Because even with your strongest hands, it’s tough to navigate the plethora of nut-changing turns, giving the in-position player a big advantage. So you don’t want to bloat the pot out of position in those situations generally and put yourself in awkward situations.
