What a great experience and opportunity to get involved and serve the community by feeding those less fortunate in the largest food drive in Ottawa’s history with 160,000 lbs of produce! Thank you @Sgt. Jennifer Richardson Recruiting- Ottawa Police Service for giving us the opportunity to volunteer for this! A sad reality that I learned are that 30% of those who need food from this initiative are children, I have a little daughter and would be mortified if I could not feed her… So I felt a personal responsibility and joy knowing our efforts are helping to aid this reality. I also really enjoyed working with the OPS and seeing them in action serving the community as an example like @Cst Brad Peak. Along with this, it was a pleasure to meet and work with others in the recruitment process like myself and community members of all ages and demographics with the same mindset to help through action.
