A student asked me how to get their first paying client without a portfolio. 🤔💰 If you have basic skills, try this: 1. Pick a niche you love ❤️ – like kitesurfing, for example. 2. Offer a free test project 🎥 – Ask a local shop owner if you can make a short promo video for them. In return, have them display it in their store, let you leave business cards the store, and post it on your website with your name --> SPREAD IT 3. Use it as proof ✅ – Now have a real project to show. Thanks to the skills I learned from Jonas's coaching, I was able to score a Fashion Shoot. If you know me, you know that it's not exactly my niche, but when a window opens, I believe you should jump through it. It was chaotic, but I learned a ton by staying humble. Another thing I learned that the guy with the most expensive gear doesn't always make the best content. There was another videographer, and his build was too heavy to get the smooth movements and angles that I managed. Thanks Jonas! Any ideas on how I could have made it better are welcome.

🇬🇭 We are at a salt production site in Ghana doing location scouting for a film. 📷 A small camera (GH4) and 🚁 a drone are used to explore the space and see how it translates on screen. 💭 No fixed plan is set yet — and that’s intentional. The goal is discovery, not execution. 🎬 On location, thinking turns into doing. Walking, testing shots, and observing what the place naturally offers replaces over-planning. 🔴 One unexpected discovery today: salt pumps create red, crystallized water patterns — especially interesting from an aerial view. ✨ Core idea: let the place guide the film.
