Tool Tuesday - Tuskegee Airmen AVI-8 Tribute
Chose to unveil this piece from the collection today in honor of both Tool Tuesday and keeping a hero theme. @Jamal Moore i shared this watch with you a while back. The Tuskegee Airmen were pioneering African American and Caribbean-born military aviators and support personnel who trained at Tuskegee Army Air Field in Alabama during World War II, famously earning the "Red Tails" nickname for their distinctive painted aircraft and achieving remarkable combat success as bomber escorts, proving their capabilities and paving the way for military desegregation. They were the first Black U.S. military pilots, comprising units like the 332nd Fighter Group and 477th Bombardment Group, who flew missions in North Africa, Italy, and Europe, earning numerous accolades and challenging racial stereotypes. https://avi-8.com/products/flyboy-tuskegee-airmen-meca-quartz-lucera-av-4103-02
