That Voice in Your Head? Itโs Not Always Right. Thereโs a voice in your head that always says noโdonโt post that video, donโt record that song, donโt go to the gym. Just stay comfortable. But that voice isnโt always to be trusted. Sometimes it sparks great ideas, and other times it holds you back from what you need to do. You donโt always see it in the moment, but every time you listen to that hesitation, you slow down your own progress. This isnโt a sprint. Itโs a marathon. A 5, 10, 15, 20-year journey to get where you need to be. It took me 6-7 years to realize that my biggest obstacle was meโnot the industry, not my environment, not other people. Nobody owes you anything. Not your audience, not your family. Success comes from showing up every single day, making sure people canโt ignore you. It wonโt happen overnight, but if you donโt put in the work, it wonโt happen at all. If you improve by just 1% every day, by the end of the year, youโll be 365% better. But if you let yourself slack once, it gets easier to do it again. And again. And againโuntil youโve stopped completely. The key? Structure. Work when itโs time to work. Rest when itโs time to rest. Otherwise, youโll end up stuckโfeeling like youโve done nothing, but also never truly relaxing. I struggle with this too. Iโm not perfect. Some days I donโt want to work. Some days I let myself slip. But the difference is knowing when youโve fallen off and not making excuses for it. Even if you sit down and make a terrible song today, youโre one step closer to a great one. Even if your workout isnโt perfect, youโre stronger than you were yesterday. Because the only bad workout? The one you didnโt do. Get out of your own way. Show up. Do the work. Let me know in the comments, whats holding you back? Whats that voice saying to you today? Hope this helps today.
