I missed it. But is this saying that DFgen2 CICD is actually working now? We had a ton of issues with them and had to switch back to non CICD version
Materialized Views!!!!
Just released in a new blog. Materialized views for lakehouses. THIS is a feature I've been waiting for. So excited to see it. Mastering Declarative Data Transformations with Materialized Lake Views | Microsoft Fabric Blog | Microsoft Fabric Anyone else as excited as me?
Direct One lake issue
Hi everyone, I’m currently testing a Direct Lake semantic model and noticed something odd: for some tables, changes in the Lakehouse aren’t always reflected in the semantic model. If I delete the table from the semantic model and recreate it, then the changes show up correctly. The tables were created in the Lakehouse using DF Gen2. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I don’t quite understand why it happens, and I’m even considering switching back to Import mode… Thanks !

For schema changes you definitely have to manually refresh in the UI. It's one of my team's documented limitations/notes for using DirectLake. I totally understand why. If your data engineering teams are changing tables you may not necessarily want to automatically pull new columns in to your model.
Plugging NetSuite into Microsoft Fabric!
Currently, there’s no native connector in Microsoft Fabric to connect with NetSuite. Until Fabric launches one, you can check out the blog I wrote on how to connect NetSuite from Fabric using ODBC. Hope it helps anyone looking for options in the meantime! Medium won’t ask you to log in to read the blog, but if you’d like to leave a few claps, you might need to.

thanks for sharing. My team actually needs to pull in data from NetSuite but we had talked about using their API. Have you looked into their API at all? The Complete Guide to the NetSuite REST API | by Prithiv Sassisegarane | NanoNets | Medium
Say Goodbye to Default Semantic Models
I don't know if anyone else is excited about the deprecation of Default Semantic Models, but I surely am. We NEVER use them and always build our own for various reason. I love that they are going away and will no longer clutter up our workspaces. How does everyone else feel? Anyone here actually use them for production?
