used the weekly competition to create 'phoenix files' which checks the form , function and format of a new folder - i now use this daily for basic-digital-hygiene and to keep me honest. Its scary how many times AI (or me) gets lost and confused. Always return to home base. Every. Single. Day. Its grounding and its non-negotiable
Small Win
Hey Everyone, Just wanted to share a small win for me today. I managed to secure my first sit down with a possible client today. I got talking to our contract manager at work today just general chit chat talking about his role and what it entailed. We got onto how late he has to work and how it was hard on the family so so forth. I said to him what if i could give you that time back through implementing software that did a lot of the heavy lifting when it comes to office admin. he laughed and asked how was that I explained lv learned how to use AI to build systems we went back and forth a bit about AI talking about where it might lead and such and I'm not going to lie basically regurgitated Jakes classes stating things like how its now to have a hand carved rifle will set you back a small fortune but way back when you would of been looked down on, I spoke about the part about human desire and how that will always be there. He was completely taken back to him I was now not just a vet and a carpenter I was the future and Iv been asked to come to the office tomorrow to sit down and talk. I know its only a sit down and nothing confirmed but when i first approached them i was basically laughed out the office and given work via what's app but that small amount of knowledge might be the reason my life changes for the better. So thank you @Jake Van Clief .for giving this course away and helping complete beginners like me a fighter chance of a better future.

Congrats @Sean Wilson this is the way!! Instead of going to business startup school I pledged to talk to 30 CEO over 30 days and it was Hell on Steriods but it taught me that I need to have something worth listening to, how perseverance is mandatory, and to uncover problems I never even thought existed!!! I highly recommend it - plus C-suite folks become super approachable and willing to give other warm intros when you show up with genuine interest and curiosity.
Big Win! Using ICM Cut my co-worker's manual task from 2 days to a few minutes and getting an upgrade to Max
TLDR: My co-worker has been manually extracting data from 100s of files one at a time and manually managing files for years. This is a longterm client with set workflow. Usually takes him 2 days and I set up a workflow that will do it in a few minutes. Showed my boss and CEO and got the ok to get a Claude MAX seat. Context: I'm a sound designer and work at a post-production audio studio that also does games. The post engineers work on a lot of projects that require manual setup. They were griping at lunch about how they have to open hundreds of text files to find 1 single line of data that they need during their edit session and then manually qa it against the session when it's setup. It sounded like hell to me so I asked if they wouldn't mind showing me what they have to do and they literally manually open each folder, find the text file, write down on a piece of paper the number and then enter it by hand in the computer later. I spent 10 minutes and described to claude what I needed a python file to do. It gave it back to me and the script was able to extract the data they needed in seconds. But that got me thinking, I know there's a python library that works with Pro Tools (our audio editing software), and the current weekly contest is about making a specialist... COuld I make a specialist in Protools Python scripting that can tailor workflows to any engineer? So I spent about 4 hours speccing an ICM folder that specializes in Python Scripting for Pro Tools. Brought it to work today and --- it didn't work -- immediately at least. IN practice discovered there were errors in the documentation for the python library, so we had to fix the documentation. But after that was able to create a contained python script anybody could run and showed my co-workers and ceo. They were super excited about the possibilities and when I asked if I could go ahead and get a Claude Max subscription they said yes immediately. Might also be showing the wider company the setup and what's possible next Monday. Was totally worth staying up all night yesterday to get this out ๐Ÿคฃ

๐Ÿ† WEEKLY COMP #3: THE SPECIALIST ๐Ÿ†
๐Ÿ’ฐ $325 CASH PRIZE ๐Ÿ’ฐ That's a full year of Premium. Win this and your membership pays for itself. ๐Ÿ“‹ THE CHALLENGE You just got hired again. Different client this time. Meet Sarah, a freelance copywriter who's drowning in context-switching. ๐Ÿ“Ž Download the full client brief attached to this post. Short version: She works with three types of clients (SaaS founders, ecommerce brands, local service businesses) and starts from scratch every project. She doesn't need another tool. She needs a system. Your job is to build her a folder-based AI specialist she can drop into any Claude project. The folder IS the deliverable. ๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ THIS WEEK YOU LEARN ICM Up until now, comps have been "build a thing." This week you utilize the methodology taught throughout the community. ๐Ÿง  Folders as architecture. That's it. That's the whole concept this week. Your specialist is a folder with five things: - ๐Ÿ“„ identity.md (who they are) - ๐Ÿ“ rules.md (how they respond) - ๐Ÿ’ฌ examples.md (what good looks like) - ๐Ÿ“š reference/ (source material) - ๐Ÿ“– README.md (how to use it) Drop the folder into a Claude project. Claude becomes the specialist. Reusable. Shareable. Portable. ๐ŸŽฏ PICK YOUR SPECIALIST Don't pick copywriting. That's Sarah's example. Pick something YOU would actually use. A few sparks to get you thinking: - A salary negotiation coach - A meal planner that knows your dietary restrictions - A code reviewer for your stack - A real estate market analyst for your city - A technical recruiter screener - A grant writer for nonprofits in your space The more specific, the better. "Marketing expert" is not a specialist. "B2B email expert for enterprise SaaS targeting CFOs" is. ๐Ÿ’ผ WHY THIS ONE LANDS ON YOUR RESUME Real talk. Winning a comp in a Skool community doesn't get you a job by itself. But shipping a working folder-based AI specialist with a clean README and a public repo? That's a portfolio piece.

@Alyshia Perri based on this chat I had "a moment" and read claude.md and OMG it has got totally tangled, there are heuristics and principles AND project specific junk in there..... I need to do a 'cold boot' to re-write the basic files and do so without losing any traction and progress I made so far. What a pain. So now I am moving to daily/weekly/monthly per-project full folders using the structures we wrote here as hygiene. This is terrible - and also great - it happens now instead of later when the tangle is of Gordian magnitude. ROFS (Roll On Floor Sobbing) / LOL
