What is the advantage of Goosify or the IRL skools being public? Hypotheses welcome. Authoritative responses helpful too. So if you are guessing please indicate in your responses.
@Jay Hanan Hi Jay :) Public groups are discoverable on search engines. They work with SEO. When people search for you, your name, brand, community name, etc -- it will show up. Not to mention any posts that get a lot of hits will also rank on Google (pretty freaking cool to drive traffic). One thing to note is that even if your community is public (visible to everyone), only Skool members can join it. You can also enable membership questions and requests, allowing you to control who joins your community and who has the ability to post. At the end of the day, the strategy (public/private) will depend on the goal you have for your community!
