📌 The Adaptation Economy
For years, I have been thinking about how economies evolve. We began by gathering natural resources. Then came agriculture, manufacturing, products, services, and eventually what many called the Information Age or the Idea Economy. Today, I think we are entering something different. I call it The Adaptation Economy. Information is no longer scarce. Ideas are no longer scarce. Even expertise is becoming more accessible than ever before. What is becoming increasingly valuable is the ability to learn, adapt, and apply new knowledge in meaningful ways. Artificial Intelligence is accelerating this shift. New tools appear almost weekly. Business models evolve overnight. Skills that seemed cutting-edge a year ago can already feel routine. Waiting for things to "settle down" may no longer be a realistic strategy. The people and businesses that thrive will not necessarily be those who know the most. They will be those who adapt the best! That does not mean chasing every new trend. It means developing the confidence to evaluate new ideas, discard those that do not fit, embrace those that do, and continue moving forward without becoming overwhelmed. To me, that is the real opportunity. The future does not belong to those with the biggest libraries of information. It belongs to those who can turn information into understanding, understanding into action, and action into meaningful results. Perhaps the most important question we can ask ourselves today is not: "What do I need to know?" Instead, it is: "How quickly can I learn what I need when the world changes again?" I believe that question will define success for the next decade.

@Bradley Deacon Eastwood has greater range than many give him credit for. His acting roles and directing have brought us many iconic lines and memorable life lessons. If you are a fan, and have not yet seen it, check out Play Misty For Me.

@Aj Love Thank you. For me, it comes down to critical thinking, supported by what I have started calling Conversational Intelligence. The ability to engage in thoughtful conversations with AI, ask better questions, challenge assumptions, and refine our thinking will become far more valuable than simply collecting information or mastering the latest tool. Knowledge is becoming increasingly abundant. Clear thinking (clarity) will become increasingly valuable.
Is Imposter Syndrome Stopping You?
Is imposter syndrome stopping you from putting your book out into the world? I know this is a common challenge that many aspiring authors face. It’s that internal voice constantly creating doubt: Who is actually going to read this book? Who made you the expert to speak on this topic? What will readers think? What if I get a negative review? The truth is, you don’t have to feel completely confident before you publish your book. Confidence often comes after you take action—not before. Here are three ways to quiet some of that inner chatter: 1️⃣ Focus on the reader you can help. Instead of asking, “Who am I to write this book?” ask, “Who could benefit from what I know?” You don’t have to know everything or be the world’s leading expert. You may simply be a few steps ahead of the person who needs your knowledge, experience, perspective, or story. 2️⃣ Stop expecting your first book to be perfect. Your first book is not supposed to represent the final version of you as an author. It represents where you are right now. You will continue learning, improving, and growing with every book you publish. Give yourself permission to create something valuable without expecting perfection. 3️⃣ Separate fear from facts. Imposter syndrome often speaks in worst-case scenarios. Instead of assuming no one will read your book or everyone will criticize it, look at the facts. You had an idea for a reason. You have experiences, knowledge, creativity, or a message worth sharing. Fear is a feeling—not proof that you aren’t ready. Now, think about what can happen when you stop allowing self-doubt to keep your book unfinished: 📚 You become a published author. Your book is no longer sitting in a document, notebook, or folder waiting for “someday.” It becomes a real accomplishment that you can hold in your hands and share with others. 💡 Your book can make an impact. Your words could educate someone, encourage them, entertain them, help them feel understood, or give them the solution they have been searching for. But your book cannot help anyone if it never makes it out into the world.

@Krista Brea I think many of us have experienced moments of self-doubt, but I have come to believe that the answer is not waiting until the feeling disappears. It is taking the next practical step anyway. We often imagine we have to write the perfect book that answers every question. Perhaps we would be better served by writing the book that solves one meaningful problem for one reader. That realization has changed the way I think about publishing. Progress rarely comes from trying to say everything. It often begins by helping one person with one problem.

Amazon Don't Give You Customer Data... DO THIS INSTEAD!
One of the biggest downsides to publishing on Amazon is that you don't own the customer relationship. When someone buys your book, Amazon doesn't give you their name, email address, or any other contact information. Amazon owns the customer—you simply earn a royalty from the sale. That means someone can absolutely love your book... and you may never have a way to reach them again. That's why I always recommend having a strategy to connect with readers beyond Amazon. At the beginning of your book, introduce yourself and let readers know who you are and what they'll get from the book. Then include a QR code that leads them to the next step. That next step could be: - Your Skool community - A free resource - Your email list - Another book in the same niche - Your website or social media The goal is to turn a one-time reader into someone who becomes part of your community. One tool I really like for this is @Jeff Baer mini webpage. It's much more powerful than a QR code alone because you can introduce yourself, showcase your books, highlight your community, collect contact information, and point readers to multiple resources—all from one simple page. It's a low-friction way for readers to get to know you, whether they purchased a paperback or downloaded a free Kindle book. Don't let your relationship with your readers end at the final page of your book. Give them an easy way to stay connected—you'll build a stronger audience and create more opportunities for future book sales. 👉 Start Building Your Page Here (Below is an image of what my mini landing page looks like or you can see the full version for yourself.)
