I am giving up my Skool group (ai story crafters). I don't feel like it is helping me advance my goals or that I am helping others with their book creation goals. Only a couple of members contribute on a regular basis (TY Paulette). I don't consider "likes" as contributing. I only have a couple of things in my classroom for pay. I am removing the pay and they will also be free. If there is anyone who would like to step up as an administrator and take over the group, let me know. There are currently 90 members with free membership. I will continue to pay the monthly fee for a couple more months. If no one takes it on, I will close the group down by July 1. All of the information and lessons in my classroom are public domain and free to use. Group dynamics has always been somewhat of a mystery to me - why does anyone join a group for a common purpose and then not participate? I see some other groups attempting participation by running polls, having contests and touting their # of members. I don't see any value in that. The value of any group for me is how well the members support a collaborative effort to accomplish their goals. I don't see that happening in my group or most of the groups I have joined. Enough said. As someone I know says, "Thank you for your attention to this matter". Cheers!
