Psalm 37:3-5 - Words of encouragement and personal testimony!
"Trust in the Lord, and do good, do shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shall be fed" "Delight thyself also in the Lord, and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart" "Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass" ____ My story - Earlier this afternoon, I received a calendar notification for "Reflection" The Lord says to meditate on His word both day and night. So awhile ago, I started reading the Lord's Word in the evenings as well, whether that be reflecting on what I read this morning, or something more But recently, I haven't been spending that time in the evening. I would pray to the Lord, think about what I read in the morning, and thank Him for all the things that happened throughout the day, but it wasn't the same as spending time in His word too. So when I got that notification, it was one of those "strange coincidences", because not only had I not been in His word in the evenings in some time, I also had a negative thought cross my mind just moments before the notification I'm glad God notified me and told me what I needed to do. And I wanted to do it too! I wanted to spend that time with Him again! And I'm so glad I did! Let me tell you! Before I opened the word, I had thoughts to re-read what I read this morning. "Reflect" on it. This morning I read Psalms 36 Let's just say the Lord had other plans lol I opened the Lord's Word, and the word "Delight", in the next chapter, really caught my eye I even tried to read Psalm 36, but that word "delight" in Psalm 37 really caught me It was another strange coincidence. So I decided to follow And so glad I did! The verse said, "Delight thyself also in the Lord, and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart" When I read this, I was filled with joy You ever need confirmation on something, and then the Lord confirms it, and you're so filled with joy that it almost makes you burst into tears? The Lord did that tonight I was filled with so much joy and love because the Lord confirmed a dream of mine. I was filled with fear the other day, and the Lord helped me to trust in Him. And today, He helped to confirm that dream.
