One of the biggest mistakes I made in dating was acting like the man’s manager. I was constantly evaluating telling him how to get better and it was exhausting. Then I shifted into dating like a CEO and everything changed for me. I felt way more peaceful and relaxed, and I started treating dating like collecting data. When it comes to fiction, Jennifer Lynn Barnes' Inheritance Games book series is impeccable. And who doesn't love Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice? Some of my favorite business-related books include Mainstreet Millionaire (Codie Sanchez), Emotion by Design (Greg Hoffman), Diary of a CEO (Steven Bartlett), and Never Split the Difference (Chris Voss). Then in terms of psychology, I greatly enjoyed Becoming Bulletproof (Evy Poumpouras) and The Laws of Human Nature (Robert Green). My personal favorite in psychology, however, is Please Understand Me II (David Keirsey); in my opinion, it is THE best resource on understanding different personality types holistically. Finally, a book that changed my life this year is Maribel Franchesca's Before the World Named You. She dives deep into how the social media, social circles, and comparison (among other things) distort your identity, and more importantly, how to uncover your identity underneath all the labels and lies.
