Welcome Wednesday
It's a wonderful feeling seeing new member notices from people who are here to write. Please join me in officially welcoming our newest members. @Deb Spotleson I first met Deb in the Self-Publishing Skool and during our SPS chat on Tuesday, she recognized our Sacred Writing Community was also a good fit. Deb runs the Bravmunity Community for Parents & grandparents of picky eaters: end food battles, ditch separate meals and help your child confidently enjoy more real food. 🥕❤️ @Stacey Carrolll rolled in to Sacred Writing as she's a writer who would like to improve and find her flow and inspiration again. Let's help them get settled into the rhythm of writing, which is a whole lot calmer than this little guy ....

Welcome 💗
New Journal, Old Pen
Today I started writing a short story, one I am dedicated to writing before Christmas. I know the characters, the plot, the young audience it is dedicated to.. But I don't know exactly which word will be written next.. I am leaving that up to the sacred space and what Pamela teachers about listening. ✨️ But today just as I had a mini writers block because my pen ran out of ink! ✒️💦🤍 I bought a new journal last week for this writing project but I should have also bought a pack of new pens, lol. Anyways, I am loving the process of writing this fictional story. Letting the ink flow one word at a time, hopefully, lol, 😅. I will get back to work soon, but I could not resist sharing this first in this Sacred Writing Skool.💙

Embers by Richard Wagamese
Yesterday I received a book from my dear friend, @Vicki Dunn called EMBERS from Richard Wagamese. I opened the book randomly to share one message with you today. A beautiful image with light shining through the trees on a snowy path revealed these words: “I am a traveller on a sacred journey through this one shining day.” Vicki chose this book, wrote me a heartfelt note, and sent it my way. Her experience with it brought her stillness, presence, and peace—and she thought of me. There is something very special about being remembered like that. Thank you, Vicki, for your generosity and for bringing Embers into my life. What is one thing you are grateful for today?

So glad it arrived for you! ✨️💜 ..And I love how you just picked a random page. It is that type of book. I used to read the pages of this book in my backyard as I had coffee in the morning. I am in my backyard having coffee as I read this post as a beautiful sun streams through the trees.✨️💖☀️
Where were you on 9/11?
Today is a historic day and most of us remember every detail, conversation, visual. I lived in Toronto and worked for Wiley Canada. I arrived at work and my boss, the CEO, was in shock. Our head office was in Manhattan, and we had no idea what was happening or whether any of our colleagues or their families were in the towers. We listened on the radio when the 2nd tower was hit. Many of Toronto's downtown towers, the financial district, and CN Tower were voluntarily evacuated. I held space this morning during my coaching call to pray and share our memories. We talked about how the people in the small town of Gander, NFLD, opened their hearts, homes, and churches to the people who landed there. I'll be watching the movie about this, "Come From Away," this weekend. Have you seen it? When I was the Webmaster for Wiley, I'd go to the Manhattan office for 5-day stretches. I'd ask the team what night they wanted to go to dinner, so I spent the rest of the evenings on my own. My favourite was July 9, 2001, when I saw the classic Double Indemnity in Bryant Park (gotta love AI search). I went to a comedy club and always had one fancy dinner out by myself. One night, I went to the Empire State Building and took this photo. I never made it over to the Twin Towers, and within two months they were gone. What is something you remember from that day that you’ve carried with you ever since?

Sept 11, 2001 was in an Aquatic Supervisor's office in the same building I work today. Back then I was a synchronized coach and we had just hired a high performance coach who had flown over from Slovakia to work at our club for the year. Our new coach was both concerned about the international implications and grateful that her flight had arrived the week before.
Happy Birthday Week Rebecca B
@Rebecca B I completely missed your birthday, so we'll be celebrating you all week! Thank you for being a top fan on our Sacred Writing Skool. I adore you and your impressive ways to express yourself through words and GIFs. You are witty and kind and I appreciate you! You show up even when you're unsure what you're writing about. You're private and I respect that about you, except right now we're celebrating you! Happy Birthday, Rebecca. Friends, let's shower Rebecca with love and birthday wishes all week.
