Welcome to the Ai Pro Writers Studio. Home of Wordcrafter Pro!
I'm Michael. I built the Professional Writing System and WordCrafter Pro after spending years trying to wrangle AI tools into something that actually helps writers write better stories — not just faster ones. The Professional Writing System is a set of Claude skills to help you as authors get the words out and get published. Each skill has a group of personas who are experts in their field that let you discuss your book not order the AI to do your bidding. They help you work out ideas, build the story Bible & outline, design believable characters, write your story (with help not write for you), and edit the work afterwards. The Merch and Marketing skills step in to help you build products around your story and sell it (the most important part) WordCrafter Pro is the latest in AI Writing Aids that has the entire PWS System baked in. Here in a scrivener styled interface you can organize all of your pieces together, control your context windows, get help when needed and get the stories published! With this system you never have to write alone again. You can even talk to the persona's individually ***** What you've walked into is the community hub for everything PWS: the skill files, the app we're building, the classes, the challenges, and most importantly, the other writers doing this work alongside you. Here's what to do right now: 1. Introduce yourself in the Introductions category. Tell us your name, what you write, and your biggest creative challenge right now. 2. Grab the free PWS Quick-Start Guide at [this link] It explains the four-phase system and shows you exactly where to start. 3. Browse the Start Here posts. The PWS Overview explains all four phases. The Community Rules are short and worth reading. This community is free and always will be. A paid Inner Circle tier is coming for writers who want deeper access, but everything you need to use the system lives here at no cost. the skills themselves and the PWS Studio App I'm developing will have a cost, but if you are reading this there will be a huge discount.

Not Mine., But a must read for Authors
The article below is almost entirely pulled from Author Victor Peter's Facebook Post. I really cannot tell if he is for or against AI , but his posts make an interesting read so I'm following him now. This posy is the WHY that indie authors more and more are turning to AI help and apps like WordCrafter.Pro. I don't have $15K to produce a book. And one of the snarkier replies to the post below was "This is why I'm going traditional publishing". Cool. So you can afford an agent who actually gets you a contract. How much do you pay them until you get this contract? Most traditional publishing gets you a set amount in advance to live on while you finish the work. What most authors don't seem to get that this stipend, much like the music industries contracts HAVE TO BE PAID BACK! Before you get any money from your book sales evevery dime the publisher spends on you, the list of costs shown below plus distribution and printing. Currently, per-book royalties typically range from $1 to $3 for paperbacks and $2 to $5 for hardcovers on a paperback cost of $16-$18 and Hardbounds in the $20-$35 range. So you have to live off that stipend ( or the next contracts) until the book is profitable. And get this...some contracts (ALWAYS read the fine print) can BILL the author if the book does not meet sales goals by a specific time frame. Ouch. My current costs (As an Author) Are: Gemini API Key $20 at a time, maybe $40/mo now (mostly nanobanana) OpenRouter API Key $20 at a time, maybe $150/mo now Web Hosting is technically free (see below) Memberships and subscriptions - ~$100/mo WordCrafter.Pro is doing most of the rest I use a lot more than a lot of the rest of you for developmental and testing reasons Various tech stack items: Currently about $300/mo scaling upwards as we get more wcp users Claude Max plan at $100 additional API keys for testing - about $100/mo Web Hosting - $150/ year - I used to host websites for others. Virtually unlimited plan now.

Most indie authors simply can't afford to outsource every step, so they end up wearing multiple hats. The challenge is finding the balance between maintaining qualify and keeping the process financially sustainable. I know I've said I wanted to try and go trad, and I will send my wip to the requesting agents, but I'll most likely self-pub. I know I'll go that way for my romance. Trad and Indie expenses are similar. Most publishers don't pay an advance any longer and if they do it's usually the cost of being able to afford a simple car repair. Trad and Indie authors have to market themselves, unless you're famous or come with the promise of delivering great sales, publishers don't market an author. Yes, trad authors get editing help and covers made, but the covers aren't always what you'd want. In addition to this, 15% of every deal is taken right off the top for the agents fee. Studies have proven that over the long run, indies normally make more than trad authors. So using AI as a tool is a lifeline.
Scammers - Houskeeping
Is it bad that I'm almost automatically rejected new members that SKOOL lists as possible scammers? For those of you here that might fit this category and slipped in: If you have a product or service of value to the members of this group I do not have a problem of you making an open post about once a month or so. Contacting the members through DM's only to drum up business for yourself is a bit skeezy and I work from a 3 strike rule here. 3 people complain to me about you and you are gone. The point of this group is to help writers be productive and successful, no matter what you write. We foster creativity! Yes we do support AI help in our works. I dislike rules and setting guidelines because anarchy to a point is its own form of creativity Any other questions?

Love this rule! I've actually blocked two people from other groups. One guy kept pestering me, so I eventually had to block him. They weren't 'selling' anything yet, but I'm uber busy and don't have time to respond and keep a conversation going in a chat when they're asking about the books I haven't finished. They were using it like social media. There's only a couple of people who I traded emails with and 2 who I know personally outside of Skool and then the rare persons who I don't mind 'chatting with.' But it's always about business and that's okay. Otherwise I'm busy trying to build something of a career. So, I think this is a valid rule.

What gets in your way and why? What stops you from doing what you really want to do? What is your true passion that gives you focus? I used to say time. I'm a decent time manager when I have control of my time but ho rarely is this really true? Work, kids, other family, friends, hobbies, other interests and obligations all tend to eat time. Now we can add Doom Scrolling, Social media, email, the 297 tabs i really, really do not mean to ignore, the 37 Books next to the bed in my TBR pile, the second TBR pile at the desk, the third TBR pile of ebooks & pdfs (truly an uncountable mess) and the 9,566 saved articles TBR in Get recall, 8400+ (too many playlists) of saved videos to watch on youtube, 26,421 unread emails and 121,000 saved browser links. A wonderfully supportive and artistic wife, 6 children,a codependent mutt (but she's cute and fuzzy), An autistic cat, a demon cat and a ficus named Phred. Whew... my life in numbers. Too many interesting things to learn and know, not enough time to sleep. Learning that a lot of this was ADHD officially a couple of years ago doesn't help and doesn't give really good coping mechanisms. Interestingly enough when I started this Skool channel and decided to send the PWS into the open, and then developed what is now WordCafter Pro, I gained a modicum of clarity and focus in other areas of my life as well. The scarily intimidating numbers above are no longer hanging over my head anymore and everything is starting to flow... So I ask again: What gets in your way and why? What stops you from doing what you really want to do? What is your true passion that gives you focus? Ruminate on that a bit and share if you wan, but its really an exercise in self-reflection.
