Something I'm proud of
Hi everyone. Happy Friday! I hardly ever take the time to remind myself of all that has been accomplished during the week...so I'm taking a moment now. I took care of my mom for 42 hours this week. I built a nurture sequence and a landing page for an in-person somatic series I'm promoting. I saw 18 clients. I nurtured the seeds and perennials in my garden. I took care of my cat and dog. I ate well. I had some friend time. I went roller skating. I got enough sleep.... Yay. So many things have been done and I still have energy for today. What has your week looked like? Is there something you are proud of yourself for recently?

@Amy Bambury Yes!! Your list gave me goosebumps. Yay. So glad you are getting things done, taking care of business, and of your inner wellness. Your supervises have a great role model! What is your Sunday School lesson about?

ps I apologize if you get two of the starting emails!!! if you are around the globe I would love your feedback on the nurture sequence...if you were local, would you come to these classes?
ADHD Burnout
In clinical work with burnout and neurodivergent individuals, a common experience is the absence of relief despite intentional rest. Time is being set aside, but the internal state remains unchanged. This gap between effort and outcome is often where frustration builds. Understanding why this occurs can shift how recovery is approached. ℹ️ Educational purposes only. This is where I go somatic. Helping people connect with nurturing movement practices like tai chi or qigong and Jin Shin Jyutsu can be really helpful in managing hyperactivity in the mind and body, optimizing the energy system and allowing for rest to be restorative.
Something New
Uncomfortable doesn’t always mean something is wrong. Sometimes it means you’re stepping outside of what your system is used to—and that can feel unfamiliar before it feels safe. Growth doesn’t always feel good in the moment. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t right for you. What’s something in your life right now that feels new? ℹ️ Educational purposes only. I love your graphic. So calming. Yes...noticing discomfort is a great way to begin to do something about things, right? Sometimes it's just a posture adjustment...and sometimes an attitude adjustment lol 😂
Quick Check In ✅
When you try to slow down, what shows up more? A) My mind starts racing B) I feel restless or uncomfortable C) I start thinking about everything I “should” be doing D) I avoid resting altogether Drop the letter that fits best 👇 ℹ️ Educational purposes only. I have really practiced slowing down over the years, though in my 20s era I stayed busy to avoid what was going on in my mind. A sx of trauma, for sure...and took years to resolve but with concerted effort the skills of resting and self-observation have become super handy! 👋👋👋👋
1 Win & 1 Goal
Hey everyone...how was your weekend? What is one win for the weekend? What is one goal you have for the week? These things are important to tabulate, imo, if only to keep us going when the going gets weird.

@Amy Bambury Are you getting lots of blossoms? Fresh from the vine tomatoes are really the only tomatoes I enjoy 🍅
