Hosted by Michele Lefler, a librarian and spiritual teacher, it's a conversation about why books get challenged, who gets to decide, and what it costs readers when they vanish. Des and I have been talking about something we’re both actually rather good at, connecting people.And that has come about due to knowing A LOT of people here on skool and being well connected ourselves. We often spot opportunities between people and think, “You two really need to talk!” 😂 So we’re wondering whether we could turn this into a service within Collaboration Station. The idea would be that we get to know what you’re looking for and what you can offer, then help match you with people who could be a genuinely good fit. That could be someone to: ✨ Run an event with ✨ Join you on a panel or discussion ✨ Speak or guest in your community ✨ Cross-promote with ✨ Help you reach new audiences, members or potential clients ✨ Or simply create a collaboration neither of you had thought of yet Rather than Des and I disappearing off and creating something because we think it’s a brilliant idea 😂, we want to know whether you would actually find it useful. We’ve gone and got ourselves a proper website. And I have to say… it’s looking rather fabulous. 😍 We’ve just massively upgraded what VIP gets you — and you’ve got 48 hours to get it at the old price. Your events are already there, and people can now find them by Today, This Week, Upcoming Events, category and even by host. We’ve brought over From Heather’s Desk, Experts Corner, Editor’s Picks, our Partners, and we’ve got more coming too — including our Collaboration Station. 👉 LINK TO THE NEW SKOOL EVENTS DAILY WEBSITE HERE And possibly one of my favourite bits… NO MORE FORMS! 🙌 VIP members can use the Magic Button to send us their event straight from their calendar. I press a few of my own magic buttons at this end and — hey presto — your event appears on the website. People can click into your event, find out more and go straight through to join or register. Now, here comes the important bit… ⏰ YOU HAVE 48 HOURS. VIP is currently $9 a month. In 48 hours, it goes up to $12 a month. And yes… at some point it may well go up again. So if you’ve been sitting on the fence wondering whether to become a VIP, I’d suggest the fence is becoming a rather expensive place to sit. 😂 👉 UPGRADE TO VIP HERE Only VIP members can submit and promote their events through Skool Events Daily. BUT the website itself is open for everyone to browse, discover events and attend them. Which means your events are no longer just sitting inside our community or tucked away in the Weekly Bulletin. We now have another way of getting them seen, found and shared much further afield. We’re still polishing things, tweaking things and probably pressing the occasional button we shouldn’t 😂 — but it’s live, it’s working and your events are already there.
