ChatGPT Astra Can Send Skool DMs Now?! ⚠️😱
The new ChatGPT model came out, and apparently ChatGPT Astra can actually control your computer and take actions for you. Including opening Skool and sending DMs. My Skool Morning Show cohost @Eric Howell tested GPT Astra 6 and told me to check my Skool DMs. I opened them to a message from HIS account that said: “Hello, this is ChatGPT.” And I am not sure how I feel about this. AI agents being able to use your computer opens up some really interesting possibilities. Eric already has ideas for how he could use the new ChatGPT Astra model to automate certain tasks, and I can absolutely see where that could be useful. But having AI actually communicating with people through your Skool account feels different to me. If I get a Skool DM from someone, am I talking to that person? Or could I be talking to their AI agent controlling their computer? That is the part that freaks me out a little. I recorded my reaction right after it happened because I genuinely want to know what other people think about this. Would you use ChatGPT Astra to send messages or take actions inside Skool? And where do you think the line should be between AI helping you and AI acting as you? ...Do you think Sam will find a way to block this?

Skool’s entire brand is built around authentic community and high engagement. If member inboxes become spam-filled AI echo chambers, the platform loses its core value proposition. Skool will almost certainly clamp down on automated DMing to protect user retention.

Claim Your Skool Username Before Someone Else Does
If you’ve been on Skool for at least 90 days, check whether you qualify to claim your custom Skool username because some REALLY good usernames are still available. I claimed @jenna early, but I’ve noticed plenty of successful Skool members still have the automatically generated username attached to their profile. To qualify, you need: • 90 contributions • 30 followers • At least 90 days on Skool You only get to change your username once, so don’t just grab something random. Check your name, your full name, or even something related to what you’re known for. I found some pretty surprising ones that are STILL available. @Marty B make sure to grab yours! @Jesse Woltersom actually deserves some credit for this video because his post in Skoolers reminded me of the exact qualifications and I didn't have to work too hard to find that information. So I used Jesse’s affiliate link for Make Money With Community on this video. It’s one of the perks I’m giving my Soft Launch Founding Members. When their ideas or contributions inspire content I create, I want them to have an opportunity to earn from it too. If this video helped you and you’ve been thinking about joining us, you can use Jesse’s link to join the paid community! Click here. And go check your username before somebody else gets it. :)

Behind the Scenes: How I Set Up For The Skool Morning Show.
If you watch The Skool Morning Show, you normally see what happens once we’re live. @Michael Masters requested a video showing how we actually set everything up, so I recorded my side of the process and what I do before we go live each morning. (Thanks for requesting this, Michael!) @Eric Howell has his own things he does to prepare for the show, so this isn’t everything that goes into it. This is my routine and the parts I handle. I walk you through how I use StreamYard, YouTube, Canva, and Skool to get everything ready, including our faceless setup with avatars and overlays, creating the thumbnail, scheduling the landscape and portrait YouTube Lives, preparing things we might want to show on screen, and getting the live posted, pinned, and added to the calendar inside Skool. I also show you what I do after the show with the vertical and landscape versions on YouTube so we can use the vertical live for additional reach without leaving duplicate replays all over the channel. A lot of this has become routine because we do it every weekday. I reuse templates, copy what makes sense from the previous show, and have things set up so I’m not starting from scratch every morning. If you’ve thought about starting a live show for your community or wondered how you could go live without being on camera, you can see the actual process I use and take whatever makes sense for your own setup. 🎥 How We Run a Live Show 5 Days a Week (Faceless Live Setup) One of the cool perks I’m doing for my Soft Launch Founding Members is giving them opportunities to earn from the content I’m already creating. If a founding member requests a video and I decide to make it for YouTube, I use their affiliate link in the YouTube description. Since this video was Michael’s idea, I used his affiliate link. So if someone watches the video and decides to join Make Money With Community because of it, Michael can get the referral.
