7 AM D4 breathwork with 180 sec max hold. Noticed my HR drop down to my RHR 54 during breaths and up to 70 during holds. Good night rest with Garmin Body Battery fully charged . A Welltory HRV showed 9/9 metrics in green. Will continue this breathwork then Garmin +Welltory to determine if correlation ?

Hello again Stig, Long time follower...50 years of high level soccer and more recent 5 years competitive Pickleball. Always fitness training including pool underwater swim and dumbbell 40 lb lunges and jumps. Goal to lower my heart rate during extended PB games as exceeds my age based max by 30 bpm. I'm now 72 with RHR of 54. Desire to improve my HVR and VO2 max. My volume of Cardio besides Pickleball and 30 minute pool workouts is minimal. Curious how regular breath hold protocols will assist ?

Mostly New Breath Hold Lounge
Hello everyone. This is the mostly new Breath Hold lounge. Some of you are probably wondering why a new one. The other one had a lot of posts, but not a lot of people used it anymore. So I am hoping to make this one more fun. This is also the place for questions if you have one. A few rules though. Make sure to post your breath hold times in the breath hold thread. If they aren't posted in the correct place then you don't have a chance on winning a weekly giveaway prize. They will also be removed from this thread and put in the other. The second rule is to be kind to the people posting in here. The third is to have fun. ๐Ÿ™‚

Jumping back into breathwork timed holds. Plenty of knowledge and past practices, but recently primarily mindfullness and underwater HighPerformanceTraining pool work. Love Pickleball which requires breathwork and fitness programs ...Basic holds today: inhale 90 sec, exhale 45 sec; hyperventilation, inhale 150 sec, exhale 75 sec
