My Journey from ICU Nursing to Holistic Health + What Iβm Teaching Friday
Hi everyone! Iβm really excited to be here, especially among nurses who are expanding what healthcare can look like!!ππ Iβm a former travel ICU nurse turned holistic health coach, and one of the main tools I use is Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA). And Iβm talking about in the Sandbox Session this Friday!!π± I was initially drawn to health coaching for the freedom it offers. Iβve lived a pretty nomadic lifestyle (including some van lifeπ) and wanted to be able to take my work with me, from wherever. But during my time in the ICU, I also became increasingly frustrated with the gaps in our system. I saw so many patients who knew something was wrong, had been advocating for themselves for months or years, and were repeatedly told everything was βnormalβ based on bloodwork, I also experienced this myself as a patient. Iβm sure youβve seen this tooπ«© Thatβs what led me into holistic and functional health, where things finally started to make more sense π€― Let me know if you relate!! When I discovered HTMA, it completely changed how I look at the body. It can reveal patterns and imbalances often before anything shows up on labs, giving clients something validating and actionable to work with. I now use HTMA as a starting point to create personalized, targeted recommendations so clients arenβt just guessing. β¨This Friday, Iβll be doing a short 20 minute presentation inside the Sandbox Session where Iβll break down πΊπͺ© - What HTMA is - Why it can reveal what bloodwork misses - How Iβm using it in my practice! If youβve ever felt like labs donβt tell the full story, I think this will give you a completely different way to look at your clients. Iβd love to hear- have you ever explored HTMA, had a test done, or considered using it in your practice? And let me know if youβll be there Friday! Feel free to message me ahead of time if thereβs anything specific youβd want me to cover πΏπ
