Treat your client like this…
Hey y’all, try this exercise. Think of your favorite team member - if you don’t have anyone yet that’s okay. Think of what you really want them to be like. Write it all out and be that for your client. Comment below what you will be changing to make this happen. One thing I’m going to change is to be invested in the clients strategic planning so I can more clear on what their goals are.

Mine is also strategic planning! Many people don’t know what they can actually accomplish with video content, so I want to help them make better strategic decisions that will allow them to get the full benefit of videos.

I’d like to learn more about how you’re tracking your client’s journeys with you. I originally had a CRM where I could indicate to the client the stage we were in (invoice paid, contract signed, video sent to editor, video delivered, etc) but I cancelled that CRM for other reasons. I know some people use notion as a client portal, but Idk. Just open to hearing other options

@Ryant Nelson This year I got heavy into automations and work flows so I’ve been using alot of Jotform and Zapier for my onboarding process. I started using Slack as well since it was only $6 a month. And each client gets their own channel where I can upload documents, send videos, and also communicate. I was originally using Dubsado, but I wasn’t using everything it offered so I am actually cancelling my annual subscription this month lol!

Good morning !
The message for this morning is that Equipment & Subscriptions will delay you from being able to hire the help you need. My bookkeeper told me that I’d spent 5 figures on subscriptions last year and from 2019 - 2023 I bought a lot of equipment. Matter fact - I have a $2000 slider that still ain’t getting no love ( I need to sell it). I used to feel like buying equipment was more important - because at least I had the equipment for life. Can’t buy a person like that. But when you hire people something better happens. 1. You are investing into their prosperity which God loves. 2. You are showing your clients ( and others ) that money is not the most important thing to you. 3. You’re bring new ideas , creativity and expertise that you can add to your processes & expertise 4. You miss the experience of standing where your clients stand when they hire you. And the more you can understand them, the better equipped you are to serve them. If these things feel small and insignificant - that may be the mindset delaying your growth. So next time you go to do a job, hire someone - a cousin, a friend as a PA, just don’t do it alone. When you do it, post it as a win in the wins page ! I love y’all !

This is good! Heavy on point #1! More recently, I’ve been creating a “shadowing” spot on my sets for younger people who I know are looking to gain more experience! Sometimes it’s one of my high school mentees (their parents sign a waiver and permission slip🤣), other times it’s people I’ve met at events that just need more exposure. Even though I’m not the most successful or experienced person, I know that there is always someone who can gain something from my sets. And often times I’ll ask them to take BTS photos/vids so that I can pay them like a crew member too
