ft. @Koen Vermeulen (and other physios here). Arne had a great idea to try to help you guys with treating injuries. So feel free to tag either one of us, tell us about symptoms and we‘ll try to find a solution that works for you! You can DM me of course, if you want to keep it more private. I am currently working full time as a physio while studying osteopathy on the side🫡

@Martial Garo--Santos from a medical stand point it is really exiting to hear this and I‘m craving to solve a mystery here. From a sports perspective it really sucks to hear the complexity of this problem. Since it‘s not a local problem (MRI was clean) it is only right to look deeper into it (historia morbi, context factors, etc.). What‘s interesting to me that a lower back pain is going into the arm since it‘s not directly connected neurologically. I can think of a lot of connecting chains throughout the body that all wouldn’t really show in an MRI scan. It might be interesting to look into the lymphatic system since it seems to be a onesided issue and that‘s „the only“ system that would work onesidedly. Wishing you the best of luck on this one, feel free to keep me updated!!
Training while having cold symptoms
I woke up on tuesday with a little bit of a sore throat. Still smashed the 2h tempo workout and felt good after. Skipped yesterday because it seemed to have gotten worse over night but I still just feel like ive got an irritated throat. Like I breathed to much trough the mouth. I have a little bit of a running nose too but I dont feel sick in any way. Do you guys think I could train or push lifting session to friday?

Hard to say… Usually I would suggest taking some rest and go for a walk instead of pushing hard. I have a good friend who played american football when we were in iceland back in the day while having a slight cold, he later ended up in the hospital in Reykjavik with a myocarditis. Personally I would rather skip a couple of training sessions instead of risking it, others might say go for it, but what benefits do you have from a week of training if you possibly risk your health🫣
