Hey @Eric Young awesome video!! I like also the background music and the vibe as well. For me, i prefer shorter videos, but i dont know, which frame and job it was. Like also the video and the edeting. Was this a one time project or ist there a longterm goal behind the cooperation with the hotel? Im curious 😁

@Eric Young and me edited a video for a luxury hand bag and would love to hear your thoughts! color grading and sound are still work in progress - next step is to wait for the client to give some feedback on the overall aesthetics - was FUN

VIDEOMAKING ROADMAP DAY 3
✂️ The Core Editing Workflow 1️⃣ Watch Everything Get a full overview of your footage first. No cutting yet. Just understand what you have. 2️⃣ Eliminate Aggressively Remove everything you don’t need. Editing is mostly removing, not adding. Be ruthless. 3️⃣ Play With the Gold Once only the best clips remain: Add music Add voiceover (great for documentary/vlog style) Combine clips Explore rhythm & pacing There are no strict rules here. This is where art begins.

Videomaking Roadmap - Part 2
Today’s theme: Start now. No excuses. Whether it’s an iPhone or a cinema camera—the tool isn’t the barrier. 💡 1. The Director’s Mindset Inspired by voices like Quentin Tarantino and David Fincher, we focused on action over perfection. Technical overwhelm often leads to procrastination—clarity comes through doing. 📸 2. Mastering the Basics (Exposure & Control) We simplified manual control: - Aperture → depth of field - Shutter Speed → motion & flicker control - ISO → avoid noisy footage - White Balance → control warmth and mood The goal: move beyond Auto Mode and take creative ownership. 📐 3. Composition Using student gym footage, we covered: - Rule of Thirds for stronger framing - Cleaning the frame (remove distractions) - Switching perspectives: close-ups for emotion, wide shots for context 🛠️ 4. Tools - Final Cut Camera app for manual control on iPhone - Gimbal modes (Follow, Tilt Lock, FPV) for intentional movement 🚀 Action Step - Film one scene twice: Close-Up + Wide Shot - Record a short “Commitment” voiceover Next session: Less theory. More results. Editing begins.
