10 contributions to Email Marketing Skool
Things that feel like something's wrong but are completely normal...
Some thoughts I wanted to share with you: 1. Your emails not getting replies (yet) - this doesn’t mean no one is reading… trust builds quietly before it shows itself! 2. Feeling overwhelmed and unclear (clarity isn’t something you “find”… it’s something you return to through taking action - one step at a time) 3. Wondering if you’re saying the “right” thing in your emails (there is no perfect email - only honest ones that get better the more you send) 4. Redoing things… again (your offers, your about page, your freebie - they are more living parts of your business, evolving and changing over time, rather than a final version) 5. People cancelling or going quiet (normal and nothing is wrong, but it's hard not to take it personally) 6. Getting triggered by other people’s progress (and completely overlooking your own 🙃 - one of the reasons I left social media!) 7. Feeling like you don’t have “it” or you're not good enough (like everyone else has figured it out and you missed the memo) 8. That crash after the “I’ve finally figured this out” high (you did… but the next level will always ask more of you - or something will change and what you had first figured out, stops working) 9. Feeling behind (on a timeline you created - this is always me!) You’re doing great. Keep taking it one step at a time... and be kind to yourself. You've got this ❤️ Now... go and have a beautiful weekend!! p.s thanks to my friend Evelyn from Grow With Evelyn for the inspiration behind this post.

💌 Day 1 Takeaways Thread
Okay… Day 1 is officially LIVE 🎉 And I don’t want you just listening and moving on… I want you taking something from this and actually using it. So let’s make this our Day 1 space 👇 As you listen today, come back and share: 👉 ONE takeaway that stood out 👉 ONE idea you want to try 👉 or ONE “this made me think differently” moment It doesn’t need to be perfect. Even a messy thought is welcome here! If you’re not sure what to share, try this: - “This made me realise…” - “I’ve been overcomplicating…” - “I want to try…” - “This would actually work for me because…” My intention for you today: Not more information. But one clear action you can take from what you’ve heard. That’s how this turns into results. I’ll be in here replying throughout the day and I’d LOVE to see you supporting each other too!! Let’s make this a really powerful Day 1 ✨

@Glessie Brown Substack is such an amazing a powerful space - but honestly it can also be very confusing to get started.

@Cindy Lantier Welcome!
We are officially 24 hours out… 😭✨
Inside The Inbox kicks off TOMORROW. And Day 1 is honestly one of my favourite themes: 👉 “What’s ONE way you’ve grown your email list in the last 12 months?” Real strategies that are working right now! Here’s a little peek at what’s coming your way 👀 - Using PR, podcasts & SEO to grow your list (without social) with @Simone Sauter - Turning visibility into subscribers when you’re teaching on someone else’s stage with @Colie James - Buying newsletter sponsorships (and doubling a list 👏) with @Katie Bell - Turning coffee chats into clients with a low-ticket bridge with @Nicole Elliott - The YouTube description tweak that compounds over time with @Anna Sabino - Hosting summits that grow your list with @Brenda Rigney - Live event offers that convert on the spot with @Tosca Fasso - Growing (and monetising) with Substack with @Jill Hart - Meta ads that don’t require you to live online with @Stacy Covitz - and my own session, how to grow your email list without social media!
We are officially 24 hours out… 😭✨

@Dawn Heywood so glad you found value! I love Substack and sharing how to leverage it to amply your voice, monetize your mission and get visible!
Has anyone tried collecting emails at in person events?
Hi! With Vaisakhi (a Sikh/Punjabi festival) around the corner, I do lots of pop up stalls at fairs, melas and nagar keertans (walks through town) because this is where my ideal clients are. And I must add it is organised chaos with sometimes 1000s of people. But I always struggle collecting email addresses online. I've tried QR codes, tablets, a laptop. But - battery issue/signal issue - people struggle typing on a device on a stall - I'm constantly worried someone will pick it up and walk away with it So I rely on pen and paper and collect about 100 email addresses. Downside - handwriting Does anyone have any tips for me please?

Have you tried setting up a qr code to your landing page for a lead magnet? by that I mean have a printed version so they can either snap a picture or and do it later, have the qr code on business cards or magnets or if you have an old fashioned typewriter you can have them type it themselves on there - it might be a kind of fun thing for people who haven't ever gotten to have that experience.
no social?
I am sooooo glad I found this group! I have said NO to social for over a decade (other than my loyal FB group which I've now moved to skool!) and people have fought me on it the whole way lol. Happy I'm amongst like-minded individuals! Social is such a time and energy suck.
