Day 41 MVP Slay 🔥

Day 38,39,40
I’ve been away so lost a bit of day count but I was still thinking dog training the whole time so claiming my days haha It’s going to be busy month for me and Frank because we need to get ready for MVP assignment 5! It’s a pass on 4 🤩 Here is a little recap on what we submitted. It’s definitely not perfect but Nino wants to see the handler more than anything. @Samantha Preece yes lots of people are getting results but for every good one there is about 5 that are really struggling. No one shares the behind the scenes only the highlights 😁 The % of students who get Certified in the end is super low. I like their heelwork. I feel it’s lot better for my dogs body than the pocket hand head in position. Saying that, once my last assignment is done I won’t be pushing it any more. Will be a handy still for future and client dogs

@Samantha Preece this looks lovely. My goal was to have the hand outside his head and we got there so happy with that. There are so many ways.

Hi Nick All good here and busy as always. Just been away for 2 days of Metafit instructor training for human fitness. Also resubmitted my assignment for MVP which will be interesting How are you going?

@Nick Benger oh yes. People don’t tent to commit to classes etc When I did face to face training I used to do fun workshops for December like Dogs painting Christmas cards, tricks, hoopers for fun etc

Day 35,36,37
My word! My life has been like a soap opera haha First of all I have been so excited getting a little border terrier pup. Now the breeder is saying that one pup is deaf and because my application was last I need to wait until next litter. I can guarantee that we’ll end up with rescue fosters before that so I think that’s what we are meant to do in life 😅 Secondly we failed our MVP assignment. He picked it to pieces and our street heel is still not good enough because he’s not touching with his shoulder. He’s done the same to few students now. I’m torn between training hard for the last month and “show him” or just chill and have the best month doing scentwork and stuff we love. Our coaching expires end of the year and it’s $1000 USD to extend which I’m not going to do 😅 In between we have done some conditioning with Canine Apex. Frank is looking ripped already and absolutely loves the plan.

@Lauren Edwards I asked him to show with one of his small dogs how to fade in the heel and he told me he’s too busy training his big dogs 🤣

Day 38, 39, 40
We have been heeling our little butts off here and finally got a little breakthrough. He got in the correct position! Lure faded and all! We still have lots of work to do but we have hope here 🤩 Between heeling we are also working on conditioning program so he is strong enough to heel haha. Cannot wait for this to be over and we can have our life back 😅
