@Omar Sameh you did a really nice job here! Maybe we fix on what we want to see but on the raw file to me there is already that screen illumination of the face. The RAW is how I actually imagined the picture.
Feedback needed - photo contest
Hey.. I want to hand in some photos at a contest. No theme, etc. Perhaps you can give me feedback by submitting "hearts/favorites" in this gallery https://klausnenningfotografie.pixieset.com/fotowettbewerbe/ which one is worthy submitting. Thx a lot. Klaus

I really love the frosted tree and the lonely man walking, I think that those 2, with some other images connecting them could really match together

@Endri Dano mmmh not really, it should be a bit more glowy in my opinion
Assignment #9: all the colors together
Lately I couldn't give much time to photography hence I could not partecipate at the last assignment. The topic would have been actually very interesting to me! This probably would have been the photo I would have chosen if I had just to find something from my repertoire. Maybe it is a provocation but this is actually a color digital picture. Let's call it a color-white picture. I was intrigued by the patterns of the trees, merging together like a fabric, and this snow coating letting them rest and preparing them for a new season.
Assignment #9: all the colors together
Assignment #10: Spring breaking in
I was actually trapped into some impostor syndrome lately, especially since my most used medium is bw film. How to actually break the barrier of novelty? I was inspired by the idea of macro photography that was announced in one of the recent calls, but I met the problem of how to actually do this kind of photo in a interesting way using bw. How to render a small detail and not miss the information of colors? The answer to me is to go deeper on what makes bw meaningful: contrast. What if the subject becomes the negative space of the image, but the limits of it are positively defined? Obviously everything must be done on analog 🫑 so I used a warping glass on my lens and the sun started dancing reflecting on the frame borders, confining the image while being spot on the centre. Fomapan 100, rodinal 1+50, not a macro lens
Assignment #10: Spring breaking in
Assignment #10: The Black & White Challenge
Thank you all for the great submissions for the "Monochromatic Emotion" assignment! Now that we've explored color psychology and harmonies, we are going to do the exact opposite for our 10th Assignment milestone! The Assignment: Black & White We are stripping away the color completely. Your task is to shoot and edit a purely Black and White photo. Without color to guide the viewer's eye or create a mood, you have to rely entirely on light, shadow, contrast, and texture. (i know @Lorenzo Zanna is gonna love this πŸ˜‚) The Twist: Remember the "Black & White trick" we discussed in our live call? Converting an image to B&W is the best way to see your true mid-tones and understand your histogram. Without color, your composition & story needs to be bulletproof. When creating your image, pay close attention to your contrasts: - Is your subject clearly separated from the background? - Are your shadows deep enough to create depth? - Are your mid-tones balanced, or does the image look flat? The Goal: To prove that a truly strong photo relies on structure and light, not just a pretty color grade. πŸ“ How to participate: 1. Go out and shoot/edit your Black & White image. 2. Create a New Post inside the "The Assignment" category. 3. Title Format: Please use Assignment #10: [Your Title] 4. Number of pictures: 1 strong photo. 5. Details: Tell us briefly what element you focused on to make the image work without color (e.g., textures, harsh light, leading lines, deep shadows). ⏰ Deadline & Review Call: Submit your work before our next live review call on Sunday, April 19th. (If you can't make it to the live call, just leave your specific questions in your post and we will cover them in the recording!) Let’s see how well you can shape the light. Have fun and stay creative! ✌️
