SO much is happening here, the program we designed is rich and deep… and at times it can be overwhelming. Here is a little something I want to share for the members who are attending. Get involved add a comment in the chat if you want to add an idea and we’ll bring it into the conversation here.

Our latest Practitioner Hangout brought together participants from across the globe—from Nigeria to Peru—for a rich, fast-paced 30-minute exchange full of energy, insight, and inspiration. 🌟 What Inspired Us - We were deeply moved by the Inner Peace Ambassadors project—an art-based values education program using puppetry to teach children peace and emotional literacy from a young age. This creative approach to nurturing inner development left many of us inspired and hopeful. 🕊️ Collaboration Around Peace and Communication - A powerful thread emerged around peacebuilding and communication. We heard about World Pulse, a platform supporting women journalists through coaching and global connections, and exchanged ideas about aligning on peace-focused initiatives. The conversation highlighted a beautiful mentorship practice in schools, where teachers meet regularly with students and their families—an approach fostering trust, care, and early intervention. 🌱 What’s Coming Up We learned about two exciting IDG-aligned events: - COACT in Austria this October - The IDG Summit in Medellín, Colombia this August Both offer opportunities for deeper connection and shared learning. 🧠 Inner Development at Work - We reflected on the evolving nature of “inner development at work,” especially how it’s being embraced by and for young people. The idea of integrating IDGs into organizational and intergenerational spaces sparked thoughtful discussion. 🤖 Exploring AI’s Impact - AI’s growing influence on society was another hot topic—raising questions about how it shapes socialization, investment, and employment. With so much to explore, we agreed to host a separate session dedicated to AI and its impact on our communities and work. 💞 Community Care & Simplifying Complexity - Our final reflections turned to the care economy and the growing sense of social isolation. How can the IDGs help people learn to care for themselves and one another in a fragmented world? This remains an open, urgent question for us all.

We are pleased to hear from you how valuable you find the community, and we truly appreciate your feedback. It keeps us motivated and focused on moving forward. From our recent poll, we know that members are here for 2️⃣ main reasons: 1. To connect with like-minded practitioners 2. To apply the IDGs in practical ways These are the areas we focus on in the experiences, practices and spaces for connection. 🦉We’re hosting weekly hangouts every Tuesday, and it’s been great getting to know you all and learning more about your work. Our last session was especially inspiring, as we discussed a method used in Nigeria that will now potentially be introduced into an organization in Croatia! Our next Hangout is on July 15, and all the details are available on our calendar🗓️ Last week, Sarah mentioned we’re considering a move to a paid membership model, and we’ve received positive feedback about this. There’s also been a discussion about value creation and how it can be shared across the membership, which we’re actively exploring. We recognize that for this to be viable, we’ll need a critical mass of members support and partnerships. It’s all still a work in progress, and we welcome your comments and reflections on the topic. As many of you know, we'll both be attending the Caux IDG Forum at the end of this month and it's especially exciting as we've designed the experience using Theory U. We're really looking forward to meeting many of you there 💚

The Summer Solstice marks the longest day of the year, when the Sun reaches its highest point in the sky. It’s a time to celebrate the light around us—and the light within. Across centuries, people have honored this turning point, building monuments like Stonehenge and the Great Pyramids that align with the Sun’s journey, reminding us of nature’s powerful rhythm. If Spring is a season of action and planting seeds, Summer invites patience, care, and trust. It’s a time to pause, nurture what we’ve started, and find meaning even amid uncertainty. As the Sun sustains life, so too can we nourish ourselves and others, sharing hope and light wherever we are.
