🔥85 PEOPLE RUNNING THE SHUTTLE RUN TODAY!!! 🏃‍♀️
Today is a big step. This fitness test is part of the momentum created at our “What Is Possible at OPS” event at the Château Laurier, where so many of you came out to explore careers and opportunities within the Ottawa Police Service. For those running today, this is more than a fitness test. It represents discipline, commitment, and the courage to step forward toward a career in policing. Reaching Level 7 is the standard but showing up today already says a lot about who you are and the path you're choosing. Remember... Stay focused. Control your breathing. Dig deep once you hit level 5, it is all a mental game at this point... The recruiting team is cheering you on. Good luck today and we look forward to seeing many of you take the next step in the process. Take a moment and comment below to wish everyone luck!!!! 🎉

🔥 What an Incredible Night - Women of OPS Fireside Chat
Last night’s Women of OPS Fireside Chat was truly something special. 🎉 The room was filled with honest conversations, powerful stories, and real connections. Women came together to talk openly about leadership, resilience, mentorship, and what it truly means to serve as a police officer with the Ottawa Police Service. Thank you to everyone who came out, asked thoughtful questions, shared their experiences, and helped create such an inspiring evening. These kinds of moments remind us that community and connection matter. For those who left the event thinking: “It might be time for me to apply.” Here are the two steps you should take right now: 1️⃣ Watch the Online Information Session This will walk you through the application process and what to expect. 👉 Watch here: Information Session 2️⃣ Watch the Online Interview Preparation SessionThis will help you understand how to prepare for one of the most important stages of the process. 👉 Watch here - Interview Prep Session Start Training Now... If policing is your goal, start preparing for the fitness test today. You will need to pass the Level 7 Shuttle Run and preparation is key. Consistency now will make all the difference later. 🔔 Women’s In-Person Mentorship: Our next Women’s Mentorship Sessions will be: 📅 March 19 📅 March 26 These are small, focused sessions where we work closely on preparation and next steps. 👉 I can only take 12 women at a time, and we already have a wait list. If you are interested, send me a DM @Sgt. Jennifer Richardson Recruiting- Ottawa Police Service with your email, and I’ll add you to the wait list. Stay Active in the Community - we also have a Women's Only Online Mentorship Community, if interested please join here at OPS-Women's Mentorship.

Tonight is the night. We’re excited to welcome everyone to our Women’s Only Fireside Chat with Women of the Ottawa Police Service, held in Honor of International Women’s Day. 🎉 Thank You for Joining Us! - One Question for You...
Thank you for joining us last night at the Château Laurier! We were proud to welcome so many individuals exploring what’s possible at the Ottawa Police Service. From civilian roles to communications, special constables, and policing pathways - the evening was about opening doors and starting conversations. Now we have one question for you: What was the number one thing you learned? Was it something about the application process? A conversation with a unit member? The 30 Forward Initiative? A pathway you hadn’t considered before? We would genuinely value your response. Simply reply in the comments and share your biggest takeaway. For those interested in becoming a police officer, and you are ready to move forward with the fitness test, remember: 👉 Send Cst. Abid Nasim an email at: [email protected] to secure your spot for March 7 shuttle run. You will receive an email with your timing, location and waivers. This is not a practice session - it is for those ready to apply. Thank you again for taking the time to invest in your future!
