What is your lineage?
Do you ever wonder or have you tracked a family tree? It is something I have pondered on, had a great desire to know more about because I feel it in my bones. One of my cousins did a family tree and we have Scottish & Spanish predominently . He could trace it back to Druids, Masons and Vikings. I was told that the name Nelson originated from Nels. When many vikings turned to christianity 'son' was added to the end. Another example is Wilson from Wils.

My Lawrence family came to the US as Irish slaves (not indentured servants) a great grand mother of mine refused to convert to the English religion marking her as a witch. We have recorded of her going to New Gate Prison. She was there for a short while before being shipped to the US and sold. He and her son's were slaves she died in slavery and one of her sons did too. The other did not. On my other side we have Scottish. Interesting thing is I had been told growing up that my great grandmother was Creek, she is even on the Native American senses. After doing a DNA we found out she was not native American. They moved her family with the Native American. Ive only recently heard that that was common.
