Big day in the sun!
4am I started researching grape pruning and sun up I started. 12 hours later and lots of jobs ticked off including lifting and potting up plants (before hubby used the brush cutter), pruning and tying up tomatoes (more to do), dehydrating herbs, harvesting and weeding. In venturing into our jungle of pepinos and grass left way too long, I found a lost bag of manure and an infestation of black scale. Those nasty things will be getting a shower of home made white oil to kill them. They have been an issue before and the amount of ants we have here doesn’t help. Lots of sunny days now in Melbourne, so the quicker I can get the weedy areas under control the better!

Green chillies have less sugars then red the capsaicin is higher but has less intensity then green due to the sugars ...Capsaicinoids are a family of pungent compounds in chili peppers, with key members including Capsaicin, Dihydrocapsaicin, Nordihydrocapsaicin, Homocapsaicin, and Homodihydrocapsaicin, differing in chemical structure (fatty acid chain length/saturation) and thus heat sensation (SHU), intensity, speed of onset, and location in the mouth, creating unique "burns" like quick front-of-mouth heat (Nordihydrocapsaicin) vs. slow, persistent throat heat (Homodihydrocapsaicin). Capsaicin and Dihydrocapsaicin are most abundant and potent, acting on TRPV1 receptors, while others provide subtle variations in experience,

They all have a different burn my tobasco are less heat then my habaneros but the wack to the throat from tobasco I can't speak for a few minutes and it makes me cough and my eyes water theres a fire cracker growing in hanging basket that has a burn that feels like a deep cut on the tounge it's painful and it really feels like you cut your tounge that's all no sweats no runny nose just sting
Growing avacados
Hi all, I'm in Perth getting conflicting information on growing avacados. Planting In the ground: Some say Dig a big hole add good quality potting mix then plant it in the ground. Others say don't plant them in groung with organic matter use sand well draining soil. Other say use decomposed granite (DG) this is not here in australia one man said in australia we call this cracker dust but that's not true either? Planting In Pots Some say leave it in a pot for a year or 2 for the tree to mature. Sounds like good advice. Then some say use good quality potting mix with sand and perlite. But then i hear the perlite floats to the top when watering. Others say use only sand then fertilizer from the top. Some say use wood chips for potting mix. So I'm really confused here as I've just bought 3 avacado trees a sharwel, a Lamb Gass, and a fuerte and I want the to have the best start. Any advise appreciated Thanks Joe

Garden Transformation
With heavy clay soil and only visual gardens, before turning it into eadible gardens, I’ve had to remove everything to a blank canvas and start over. Have you had a journey like mine.

Members Worm Farming Course READ ME FIRST
PLEASE READ THIS FIRST, THEN DO THE OTHER COURSE MODULES AS THEY APPEAR IN THE FEED. I have been working out how to create course content that involves the members here and provide valuable content for you guys and gals (founding members) along the way. Inside my YouTube account analytics it shows me the most engaged videos and what viewers wanted to watch the most (most valuable sections) I can repurpose all the most valuable content, upload into the feed and we can all have an indepth conversation and you the members can share your concepts, thoughts, ideas and questions in the post adding more value to the course. I will then add it to the composting classroom that has yet to be created. This type of content will be extremely valuable for everyone over time. Please leave your questions and anything else in the comments that would add value here for future readers and those involved in this today! KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR THE COURSE CONTENT here as it will be released slowly into the feed for you all to engage in before being added to the classroom - thanks for being involved.
