The call to Taco Bell
I was talking to my wife Samantha yesterday about her Taco Bell client. She has been managing the Taco Bell Montana social media now for almost 3 years. Its been a great opportunity to generate revenue for her business, expand her reach, and showcase a well known client to potential new clients. So, how did she get this client? I really don't want to take credit for the amazing work she is doing and has done. It all started when Taco Bell opened up a new location in our hometown. We decided to stop by for lunch in the opening weeks of operation. The food was what was expected and the staff was friendly. The construction was still underway which was surprising since they were open and the parking lot was a mess. In the coming weeks we noticed they were open some days and closed others. Signs about being short staffed hand written on the door and still a messy parking lot. Friends were starting to complain how poor the service was and their hours were inconsistent. At that moment I could not help myself with a background in fast food and a business in consulting. I had to call corporate. Within a few short minutes I was on the phone with the owner of all the Taco Bells in the State of Montana. His name is Joe Sample, you can hear my interview with him on my podcast - The Answer is YES. Joe began to explain how he was encouraged by Taco Bell corporate to open by the end of the year at all costs to hit some target goals. Despite his better judgement he listened to them. He went on to say that they were struggling to find good employees. As it turns out the Manager was dealing drugs on property and had all his buddies working there. After two phone calls I was hired to develop a PR campaign to get better staff from the local area that included a robust social media push. Here comes the best part - I was hired and so was Samantha's marketing company. She had this amazing idea to do a photo shoot with the High School Rodeo team at the store. Not only did this generate some great excitement, it also appealed to a new demographic of potential employees. The photos went viral as kids rode their horses through the drive-thru ordering tacos and soda.

Expect the Unexpected
Having to reschedule the workshop—my venue is preemptively closing along with all public schools. Look for the update and remove the obstacles!

Well, this sounds like it could be good news for me. :)
Federal ID number
My accountant says I should have had a federal ID number set up for my one LLC that’s a partnership??? So now she can’t do the k-1, and has to do a schedule E? I’m just trying to figure out how in all my years of business groups I missed this… 🤯 She said it’s best to have an attorney apply for it for me? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Any of this sound familiar to anyone? Then she said something about if someone gets injured in my triplex they can come after my personal property? I’m blown away rn because i really thought i had everything structured right. I have an EIN from the irs for both LLC’s… I’m confused what they’re talking about because i sent everything over.

I thought an EIN was a federal ID number... is this different? I have an umbrella policy I keep to protect myself over and above. Ask your insurance agent what coverage you have and need to protect yourself in addition to the business structure.

That is not as easy as it sounds these days. I don't know any CPA's trying to find new clients.... I wonder if it is related to regulation. Anyone have a good recommendation?
Municipal work!
I’ve been GRINDING so hard I can’t hardly see straight… lol I did some mockups for my city to propose some ideas and the mayor emailed me back LOVING the mock ups and my ideas! She invited me to come present at the next city revitalization meeting! Next week we’ve been invited to present at the chamber of commerce/business alliance meeting! 🤯 i get nervous and get over chatty so prayers for that please lol I can’t even describe to you how rough these past several months have been, I’m honestly even too embarrassed to admit the reality of it all, but I never quit, I’m soooo worn , so worn, but each day i keep trying. Ok, well… city projects here we come and I have no idea what I’m doing with all that red tape and hoops, but I’ll figure it out like i always do! Lol. Oh and God Bless AI, a tool that has literally saved my life in business and my personal life these past several months. 🙏🏻 @Jim Riley @Rod Kuntz @Rachel Svoboda Lmk how i should approach these meetings!!! Should i prepare folders for everyone? How detailed? With projected numbers or not yet? My head is SPINNING
