I’ve been comparing prop firms to see what may be the best options. I’m new to trading and prop firms. I noticed that Apex is way cheaper than most for an account but it says you are only allowed 6 payouts and then the account will be closed and a new eval will have to be completed. Why would they only allow 6 payouts and then close the account? A lot of other prop firms I’ve researched move to a live account after 5-6 payouts.

The algo hasn't took a trade since last week

Hi Guys, I was told to copy and paste this here so here goes: I got a quick question about wealth management: I’ve been part of the community here for about three years, still grinding through evaluations and working toward my first payout. I had a family member recently pass away, and it looks like I may receive somewhere between $50,000 and $100,000 within the next month or two. I’m 53, have three young boys, and have dealt with some health and cognitive challenges in recent years. More than just putting this money away for retirement, I’d like it to enrich my life on a regular basis ideally by generating some monthly income while still being managed responsibly. So I’m looking at the payout chart with Apex and I noticed you only get six payouts per performance account. So what happens if I have “extra money” left over beyond my final payout?
