Getting Clear on Your Messaging: When Your Truth Matters More Than Agreement
This morning, I posted something on LinkedIn that made me uncomfortable. Not because it wasn't true, but because I knew some people might disagree. And that discomfort? That's where the clarity lives. What happened when I stopped playing it safe: - My reach on LinkedIn increased (I have over 220 impressions and 1 repost in less than two hours). - The right people started responding (people are showing up that I don't know). - My message reached the people who actually need to hear it (people are commenting on their own experiences). The question that matters: Do you want people to recognize where you stand—or do you want to blend in with what everyone else is saying? For you to consider: Where have you been holding back in your messaging? What truth have you been softening because you're worried about the response? Your people aren't looking for safe. They're looking for someone who stands for something they can recognize and relate to. 👇 Share below: What's one area where you've been holding back in your messaging? What can you change today so your message resonates with YOUR people, not everyone? ✨Here is what I posted: Want to know the biggest difference between human and veterinary medicine? In veterinary medicine, people paid $5,000 for pet surgeries without blinking. They'd finance cancer treatment. Schedule reconstructive procedures. Invest in preventive care plans, all out-of-pocket. Those same people? They believed they needed insurance approval to invest in their own health and wellness. This wasn't about money. It was about conditioning. We've been taught that our own care only has value if insurance validates it. That paying directly makes care less legitimate. Here's what I learned working in a cash-based wellness clinic: People will pay when they trust the practitioner and see the value. The insurance system didn't teach us that. It taught us to hide behind credentials instead of owning what we offer. When I transitioned to building my own cash-based practice, I had every credential, every skill, years of experience, and I was waiting for permission I didn't need.
Getting Clear on Your Messaging: When Your Truth Matters More Than Agreement
I figured out this year that I was hiding. I wasn’t showing my face on anything, but this year I changed and started adding my face on sm, emails, YouTube, etc. and your post is so true. My chiropractor, who isn’t apart of my insurance plan has had my business for 20 years because she is that good.
Are you making decisions from employee energy?
Most new entrepreneurs don’t fail because of strategy. They stall because they’re still making decisions in “employee energy.” Here’s how to shift into entrepreneur energy in under five minutes. This one shift changed everything for me when I left healthcare. I stopped reacting. I stopped waiting for permission. I started leading my day rather than just surviving it. You can make this same shift in just a few minutes. 1️⃣Step 1: Pause for 30 seconds. Close your eyes. Notice if your body feels rushed, tense, or like you’re bracing for impact. That’s employee energy, the part of you trained to respond, not lead. 2️⃣Step 2: Ground your system. Place a hand on your chest and another on your lower belly. Take one slow breath. Let your body know you’re safe to make decisions from clarity, not pressure. 3️⃣Step 3: Ask one powerful question. “What do I choose to create today?” This instantly moves you from compliance to leadership. 4️⃣Step 4: Step into the version of you who leads. Feel the you who sets their own schedule, shapes their own offers, and trusts their own instincts. Let the steady energy fill your body. 5️⃣Step 5: Take one aligned action. Not ten steps. Not the whole plan. One small movement that reinforces your identity as an entrepreneur. This is how momentum actually begins, not from grinding harder. Momentum continues from shifting the energy that drives your choices. Try these steps and comment below on what shifts for you when you slow down and step out of the employee energy. 👇
Are you making decisions from employee energy?
@Suzy Wraines Hi there, when I read the sentence about "employee energy" I said "ooo" out loud because it is so very true.
Energy Exercise
Some people won’t agree with what I’m about to say... That’s okay. Tapping into your life force energy before you take strategic action will always win. I didn’t always share this openly because I had to test it before I truly believed it. Here’s what I’ve learned: When I meditate each morning and ask, “What do I need to focus on today?”, my entire day unfolds with ease and flow. People are naturally drawn to my energy. Opportunities show up. Things move. When I skip it? Crickets. Everything feels heavier, harder, and discouraging. If you want to tap into your own life force energy, here are three simple daily practices that shift everything: Sit in stillness for two minutes. Ask one question: “What’s the next aligned step?” Let your body answer before your mind. Ground your energy. Plant your feet on the floor, breathe deeply into your belly, and feel yourself settle. This anchors you before you make a single decision. Set an energetic intention. Choose the frequency you want to lead with, calm, clarity, confidence and let your actions follow that feeling. On the days I stay connected to my energy, even when I don’t feel like it, my business moves forward with ease. What is something you do to tap into your own energy? Share below👇
Energy Exercise
@Suzy Wraines I really love this. Yes, allow your mind and body align for the next step in the day. "Before you walk out of your door, put on your own oxygen mask." Before I walk out of my door, I sit and take five deep breaths. When thoughts come into my awareness, I don't judge them, I just say "check" and go back to listening to my breath and feeling my heart beat, I simply take another deep breath to bring me into the present. This is my daily routine every day at 8am, noon, and 6 pm. That is a total of 15 minutes from 24 hours. Not a lot to ask myself to commit to doing.
