I received my permit to operate a food business today

Last week I baked cakes for a customer holding an event for potential buyers of homes in a development they built. Afterwards I received the a very gratifying text message from them, “The cheesecake was a huge hit! They were so good!!! Thank you for sharing your gift and love of baking with us… please send me your invoice and I’ll get a check to you… I also have down to email you on Sunday and place my order for next week? Is that okay? The event is on Thursday?! Makes all the effort and time getting to this point worth it.

The show at the MA convention went really well and I’m super proud of my set. Similar to recovery, I did way better than I thought. Having close friends in the audience who were sitting up front helped, but there were easily 100+ people there from out of town who I didn’t know. I did 4 open mics in the week leading up the show to practice (probably a personal record for most mics in a week), plus one more earlier in August. It was so much fun to be onstage again and feel how natural it is to me. I’ll attach the audio of my set here. My phone was far from the speakers, so crank the volume! Thank you all for the support this last year. Wouldn’t have pulled this off without you.
