Are you treating life as a game?
Video games are fun to play. But as you get older, the number of responsibilities rises. There is not that much time for gaming. Your 9-5 job / business takes that much time of your day. What I have found to channel my interest in gaming is to treat my life (and my work) as a video game. Here are the ways that helped me to treat life as a game and might be useful to you as well: 1. Time-blocking activities in a calendar. Not only work but also fun activities. It is fun to watch a calendar filled with activities. You can even make them sound interesting. (For example: Slaying the dragon: create video for my youtube channel). 2. Having a to-do list app. It is similar to completing quests in a video game. 3. Setting clear goals. Achieving your goals is like beating a boss in a video game. 4. Enjoying the Storyline. Embrace life’s ups and downs as part of an epic narrative, finding meaning in the journey like a game plot. Not everything worked out as you wanted? At least you have a good story to tell now. 5. Treating your failures in life as gaining experience. By analyzing what went wrong and making conclusions, you are able to improve yourself. Did you spend time on creating video for Youtube but not that many views? Do not worry, you are working on your sword (your skills) to create best video ever (slay the dragon). What about you? Do you have your ways of treating life as a video game?

@Melvin Zhang I never watched its anime. I read the manga. It's good. It inspired a lot of souls like games.
Mariam's October Networking Challenge Week 1
Last week was intense with networking calls! Here's what happened: The Good: - Had an incredible call with @sam who sparked ideas about using affiliate programs to generate more leads in my community - Connected with @David Mason we're both working toward play clients and he just landed his! Now we're collaborating on similar goals - Brilliant conversation with Allan about everything and anything. He recommended "The Book Thief" (death as narrator - how cool is that?) - First ever webinar in my community! - Long-overdue call with @Melvin Zhang discussing systems, building processes, and the reality of having jobs we need (even if we don't want them) - Great call with @Lukas Schmidt on engagement The Challenges: - Had to cancel with @Mark X due to work scheduling chaos - need to reschedule - Got ghosted on a discovery call in my community - Two discovery calls that didn't convert to sales calls I'm not sure either price resistance or they didn't find my offer good enough for price Sometimes the chaos itself is the circumstance that needs to change. I'm working on creating better systems so opportunities don't slip through the cracks. This Week's Intention Goal: Let as many people as possible know what I do and ask for referrals on every single call. Specific Actions: - Be more active on skool - Clear out ALL notifications and messages (no more chaos!) - Ask everyone: "Do you know someone I can help?" or "Can you recommend someone who might help me get better?" - Calls Booked: 2 discovery calls so far, with several team conversations in the pipeline that I'm hoping to convert. And 4 Networking calls If you want to chat, let's do it! Drop me a message - I'm excited to connect. He Who Fights with Monsters I'm listening and absolutely hooked! Currently at the part where Jason is talking with the goddess of knowledge.

@Mariam Kipiani hehe I finally got to see you. Noice. I don't think I can beat you. I'm not a machine. Though I do have focus, commitment and sheer will.

@Mariam Kipiani Yes we can. Are you challenging me to get over 2000+ activities in a day. Because I'm not doing it XD
Hello legends of The Game ❤️‍🔥
I don't think I properly introduced myself when I joined the group... You can call me Mickey - when people say Michael I don't realise they're talking to me. I'm from Yorkshire, England and am about to move to Florida. Currently going through US immigration process. I'm a Dad to my 2-year-old son Charlie who is a little legend, and a husband to my beautiful soulmate, co-creator, and wife - Emma. My jam is the psycho-spiritual realm and exploring consciousness in a variety of ways. Emma and I have a very clear and awesome life plan and you're all becoming part of its success 🙏🏼🙌🏼 I love interesting and deep conversations with deep and interesting people. I'm all in on Skool, Synthesizer, my own community, and now The Game. I've noticed some of my favourite Skoolers are in here so that says one thing... Quality. Connection. Fun. I'm here to go all in with you all. Let's fly together. 🚀 Thank you @Lukas Schmidt for the invite and for the nudge to get involved. I appreciate you mate ✊🏼🙏🏼

How are you using gamification in your community?
This Monday, I joined a call where we talked about how gamers have an advantage in Skool. Skool isn't just a community platform. It is a gamified community platform. That is why it feels like we are playing all day because there are so many game elements baked in. The better we understand these game elements, the better we can engage our communities. As a gamer of over 20 years, I learned a few things about game design. Studying the best education and gamification systems also helped. That is why I want to level the playing field and share what I have learned so we can all leverage game elements to engage our communities. This is what I covered on the call, and you can get out of the video below: - Game Designs of Skool and how you can copy them for your own community - Deep dive into the level system and how you can motivate your members to level up - Rewards that create a stronger sense of community without destroying intrinsic motivations My goal is to make the calls more interactive, so I am including quizzes and some 1:1 speed networking. It is the best way to get to know the members of this community. Add the call to your calendar. Until then, I want to know: How are you using gamification in your community?

I don’t know about using gamification for my community yet. But I know that as a community owner I’m enjoying the gamification by Skool in an oddly productive way. What I do sort of reminds me of a silly game called Universal Paperclips. But it replaced simple clicking with meaningful engagement. But am I just a more complex clicker?
Luke October Networking Challenge Week 1
This week is pretty packed. Got a lot of calls booked, and I think it is going to be a challenge to keep up with my work while taking more calls than ever. I consider every call a networking opportunity because they are all about building relationships. So group calls, discovery calls, sales calls, and client calls all count as networking calls. My previous record was 30 calls, but this week I am going to break my record. Total calls this week = 36 I am also listening to "He Who Fights with Monsters," and I am excited to share my insights and realizations about the characters in the book. The main character is actually the best networker. Are you also up for the challenge? Sign up here and use the template to create your own post
