🙄🙄🙄 Here's what I'm avoiding...
On Monday I talked about what part of our goal we are avoiding and the 4 questions to ask so we can get over that avoidance and move the goal. Well, here's my one thing... my goal is to grow my coaching practice and my BTR community and help more people reach their big goals. And what I keep avoiding is sharing it with more people and specifically I avoid talking about it in my social media. And looking at the 4 questions I shared on Monday, I see that: -> Maybe I am making it more complicated that it needs to be, I don't need perfect reels, curated posts, I could just be me talking about what I love doing. -> I realized that I probably need to learn more about what successful channels do so I can follow their workbook instead of starting from zero -> I recognized that in this day and age, I need to suck it up and use social media to connect with more people, so no escaping it. -> I started asking myself if I could find a way to get the social media work that I don't enjoy doing, done by someone else, human or AI. With this now I have three areas to take action: post simple reels, study successful accounts, investigate how to outsource the posting. And, I had the deeper realization that this social media outreach is something that comes with my goal and so it needs to be done anyway. 🚩 Have you reflected on your goal and something you've been avoiding doing?

At the moment, looking for that bridging income is on my top priority list! Not sure if AI can help but I’m still playing / toying with it!

Hello @Sarina Bland I checked out your profile and it states "Slow living advocate". Can you elaborate on it?
🧱 Before you remove the fence...
Today at the property we learned the reason behind a small hole underneath our windows (drains condensation, who would’ve thought??), and it reminded me of Chesterton’s Fence principle. The principle is simple: before you remove something, understand why it was put there in the first place. You can apply the same thinking to your goal. This matters most after a rough week, when scrapping the whole plan feels like the obvious fix. Maybe you want to quit something, drop a commitment, or completely change your plan. Before you do, ask: What is this doing for me that I might be missing? Then look at the trade-off. What will you gain by removing it, and what might you lose? Sometimes removing the thing is exactly the right decision. You just want to understand what it was doing before you knock it down. ⬇️ What’s one thing you’ve been thinking about removing, and what do you think it might be doing for you?

Might need a bigger hole when it gushes down for 60 days!!!🤣
🫣 I’m starting to dislike “get back on track” 😄
I use this phrase myself, so this is slightly inconvenient. 😂 But I've been thinking about what it implies: you had a plan, something happened, you stopped following the plan. And now your job is to get yourself back onto it, “to get back on track”. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲? Maybe you tried what you planned and it didn't work very well, or maybe something else became more important, or maybe, now that you've actually started, you can see a better way to do it. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻'𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴. You can still want the goal and completely change how you get there. So if there's something you've been trying to “get back to,” maybe don't automatically pick up the old plan. Ask yourself: 𝑫𝒐 𝑰 𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔? And if the answer is yes: 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒔 𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒆 𝒏𝒐𝒘? I'm curious: 👉🏼 Is there a plan you've been trying to get back to that might actually need changing instead?
