Let's pray. Father I am praying for the parent who gave everything and somewhere in the giving lost themselves completely. The one who doesn't know what they like anymore. Who can't remember what brought them joy before children, before marriage, before survival mode became their permanent address. The one who looks in the mirror and doesn't recognize who is looking back. God I rebuke the spirit of identity erosion that has slowly stripped this person down to nothing but a function. A caretaker. A provider. A fixer. Until they forgot they were a person first. I rebuke the lie that says their needs don't matter. I rebuke the religious spirit that called self abandonment sacrifice. I rebuke the exhaustion that has been normalized and the emptiness that has been ignored. I bind the spirit of depression that has settled quietly into this parent's life and called itself "just tired." Father I am asking you to resurrect the person underneath the parent. Remind them of who You created them to be before anyone needed anything from them. Restore desire. Restore creativity. Restore the sound of their own laughter. Lead them back to themselves not away from their family but whole enough to actually be present in it. You did not create them to disappear. You created them to be fully alive.
