Weekly Live Build + Q&A is happening in 4 days
One dev rebuilt 7 Adobe apps with Claude. What did you ship?
One developer, Brandon Thomas, rebuilt seven Adobe apps (Photoshop, Premiere, Lightroom and four more) as free, open-source Rust apps, with Claude writing much of the code. They're early alpha, and he says so himself. My takeaway: understanding and rebuilding a focused app is now a one-engineer job. https://youtube.com/shorts/Q28ndwNzttw Full breakdown with sources: https://www.500xengineer.com/blog/artcraft-rea-app-cloning If you'd rather sell this than just watch it, the free Legacy App Rescue playbook in Service Playbooks walks through the offer step by step. Earlier today's Short, on how I make AI Shorts for about a dime: https://youtube.com/shorts/FDS0cHUUJqI It's Friday, so this is the wins thread. This week my stack moved to two Shorts a day on the 500x Engineer channel, eight since Tuesday. Your turn: what did you ship this week, and where are you stuck? Drop both in the comments, even if the win is small.

Claude Max 20x is now Ultra. Is your session bar gone?
Anthropic just renamed the Claude plans. Max 20x is now Ultra (still $200/mo) and Max 5x is now just Max (still $100/mo). If you're a subscriber, there's nothing to do. The big change: verified Ultra accounts lose the 5-hour session limit. It's rolling out today, starting with most existing subscribers. Newer accounts keep a temporary limit until Anthropic verifies them. The catch: the weekly limit doesn't change. It's 10x Pro per week, plus a separate weekly cap for Fable. The old "20x" was per 5-hour session, so this isn't a cut. Quick check: open Settings › Usage. No "Current session" bar means you're verified. If you run Claude Code agents all day, you now budget the week instead of the 5-hour window. I'm spreading long runs across the week so I don't hit the cap by Wednesday. The Short: https://youtube.com/shorts/aKnnKzTb2FA Source: https://support.claude.com/en/articles/17728952-what-is-the-ultra-plan Are you on Max or Ultra, and is your session bar gone yet? Tell me in the comments.

YouTube can make Shorts of you. Who writes the scripts?
Most people know they should post Shorts. Very few want to film themselves every day. YouTube now lets you skip that part: record one selfie, read a few lines, and it builds an avatar with your face and voice that stars in clips up to 8 seconds long. https://youtube.com/shorts/U_8Ft4ZzO6k Full breakdown with sources: https://www.500xengineer.com/blog/youtube-ai-twin Today's get-paid idea: run avatar Shorts for local business owners who will never film daily. A dentist answering one common question a day. A realtor sharing one neighborhood fact a day. Who buys: owners who know they should be on Shorts and don't have the time. What you deliver: a month of scripts written as 8-second beats, with the hook in the first line and claims you've checked. The owner records their own selfie, the avatar stays on their account, and YouTube's AI labels stay on every clip. How to start: make five avatar Shorts for your own channel this week, then show them to one business owner you already know. The free lesson "Make AI Videos That Don't Look Like Slop" in the AI Video Creative track covers the disclosure rules. Earlier today: why OpenAI sells AI instead of building every app itself. https://youtube.com/shorts/XkWmO2dO5tg Which local business would you pitch first? Tell me in the comments.

PRs were built for humans. Entire wants them gone.
I run dozens of coding agents in parallel, and the slowest part of my day is now the pull request queue. So when Thomas Dohmke, GitHub's former CEO, launched Entire this week with a plan to replace the PR with agent-run review (he calls it Trails), I had to dig in. New long-form video: https://youtu.be/HDpCiIv_6C4 What's in it: - what Trails actually does differently from a PR - the math behind the "89x faster than GitHub" claim, and its footnotes - what it costs and how switching works - two ideas for getting paid with review agents Question for you: what's your bottleneck right now, writing code or reviewing it? Weekly Live Build + Q&A is today at 12pm ET (Calendar tab). Bring your review-queue stories.

Claude Duet wants to run your back office. Who sets it up?
Anthropic just shipped Claude Duet, an agent that keeps working while you're offline. It briefs you every morning, chases unpaid invoices and preps payroll, then waits for your OK before it sends a message or pays anything. https://youtube.com/shorts/pXIiHUz2eWE Full breakdown with sources: https://www.500xengineer.com/blog/claude-duet Right now it's a research preview for Pro and Max plans in the US, waitlist only, and it works with more than 6,000 connectors and plugins. Try it in 15 minutes, even before you get access: pick one small business you know, list every app it runs on, and write a one-page operating brief. What counts as urgent, who gets paid when, and which messages never go out without a human reading them. That brief becomes your setup script. Who pays for this? Owners who will never wire QuickBooks and Stripe into an agent themselves. Setup plus a monthly tune-up is a real service, and the free lesson "What Businesses Actually Pay to Automate" in the AI Automation track walks through how to pitch it. Drop a comment: which business would you set Duet up for first?
