I'm a 40 year old novice guitar player 😄I'm 58 and have played in various bands over the years but nothing that kept together. Today, I'm a SAG that performs for assisted living centers and VA centers. I consider myself a strong rhythm guitarist, bass player and vocalist. I can sing lead or backup. I also know the Nashville number system. I live near Houston, Texas. Everything is big in Texas, this includes the music ministries. Several years ago, I tried out to join a church band. I didn't make the cut. The feedback I received is my style wasn't a fit for their type of playing. I rolled it off... but in the back of my mind I am reminded and have thought that I'm not good enough to play in the church band. With that said, I feel that God is challenging me to tryout again. When it comes to playing with others or playing live, what is your biggest fear or challenge?

Hello, and blessings in Jesus Christ's Name! Thanks for admitting me to the group. I'm an Apostolic Pentecostal singer, composer, and playwright, now living in the micro-community of Versailles, Missouri. I've struggled with sharing for years but realize time is growing short and God is always strong, so I've just got to start (as Steven Curtis Chapman would say) "diving in." Some of my current projects are "Traveling Down Life's Highway," a series of songs based with permission on my grandmother's poetry from her two published books; and "Christmas with Jacob Marley: A New Take on Dickens' Christmas Carol," a play in progress that I was hoping to complete in time for churches and Christian schools to use this year, but will probably have to wait for next year by the time it's finished. I'm looking forward to worshiping and learning with you all!
