Do you ever get into bed exhausted… and suddenly your brain decides it’s the perfect time to review your entire life?
Tomorrow’s plans.
Something you forgot to do.
Money.
Work.
A conversation.
That random thing you suddenly remember at 11:47 p.m.
And the more you think “I need to sleep”, the more awake you feel.
I’ve noticed something interesting about this kind of overthinking: sometimes your brain isn’t trying to make your life harder. It’s trying to keep everything under control.
So instead of fighting the thoughts, try giving them somewhere to go.
Keep a notebook beside your bed.
Before sleeping, take just 2 minutes and write down everything that’s running through your head.
No beautiful journaling.
No organizing.
No solving problems.
No rereading.
Just: “Here. This is where I’m putting all of this for now.”
Then close the notebook.
Your problems may still be there tomorrow — but they don’t necessarily need to stay in your head all night.
💬 Let’s make this practical:
What usually keeps your brain awake?
A) Tomorrow’s to-do list
B) Work or money
C) Relationships/conversations
D) Random thoughts about everything 😂
E) Something else
Tell me your letter — or your own answer. I’m curious how many of us have the same nighttime brain.
