Are the ADHD tests online accurate? Are the tests psychiatrists give you the same as the online tests?
I did two online tests, and they indicate that I have ADHD. I do not have the insurance or money to see a therapist or psychiatrist. Self-pay is $350.00 for the initial visit and $150.00 for each visit thereafter, as of 4 years ago+.
I don't trust a therapist or psychiatrist when seeing them. The therapist didn't do any tests, but stated to my insurance company that I have PTSD. The psychiatrist ignored me when I told him that I didn't want the meds. I wanted to feel my emotions, not cover them up. I also didn't want them due to the potential weight gain and depression it would cause (I had lost previous weight gain, and was extremely delighted with that).
