Hi Everyone, I got some bad news today - I've been let go/terminated from my role as QA Manager/Test Manager at the company I've worked at for 1yr 4 months. My manager is saying this is because of concerns around the execution of the QA function which have been raised multiple
occasions. And that the role is not meeting my expectations and is not in line with my preferred working styles. I have not been asked to make any improvements, given any structured feedback with clear expectation or put on a PIP i.e. no opportunity to make improvements.
When I joined the company had been without a QA/Test Manager for over a year, and had gone through multiple managers prior to that. There were zero test processes. I created a test strategy and single test process. And supported my team in this high pressured environment. Since I joined the company has been in chaos and there are a lot of toxic behaviours, processes are not followed, me and my team have too much to do and too little capacity.
I've been given a tiny goodwill gesture payment. Would anyone have any guidance and advice on what I should do? I can't afford to pay an employment lawyer or go to tribunal.
On the plus side I have some time to dig into the resources on this network as I search for a new role.
