The justice system in your country fair?

In my opinion Mexico justice system is very unfair. For instance there was a case in which a teacher told a student that she needed to work harder but he did so while placing his hand on her shoulder. The student happened to have a father who was a lawyer and that lawyer pressed charges against the teacher. Consequently the teacher was arrested and held in jail for 15 days. During the trial no evidence was presented other than the student's testimony. The teacher's defense team called the other classmates as witnesses to describe what they had seen they all gave the same account that the teacher had simply touched her shoulder and without any malicious intent. The final verdict was that the teacher was declared innocent and the matter ended there. I have a question for my classmates if the police arrest someone without evidence intending to investigate after the arrest thereby exposing that person to numerous risks while in jail do you think that is right?
