Whakauru ki te Ora
Tēnā koutou katoa,
My name is Jessie Elizabeth Maata Rogers, and I am the founder of Whakauru ki te Ora – Born 2 Thrive.
Our kaupapa was created from lived experience — from hardship, healing, and the deep belief that every whānau deserves the chance to stand in their mana and thrive.
At Whakauru ki te Ora, we walk alongside whānau who have faced trauma, violence, addiction, and homelessness.
Through the Te Ngākau Wānanga model, we bring together wairua, whānau, hapori, and hauora — nurturing healing through Manaakitanga, Āhurutanga, and faith in God’s love.
We don’t “fix” people — we create safe spaces where they can rediscover who they are.
We help whānau rebuild confidence, find stability, and reconnect with their culture, identity, and purpose.
Every service is guided by compassion, respect, and aroha — because we believe true transformation happens when people are seen, heard, and valued.
Whakauru ki te Ora means Born to Thrive — and that’s our promise.
When we heal together, we rise together — one heart, one whānau, one people.
Ngā mihi nui, and thank you for supporting our journey.
Guided by God’s love — we rise. 🌿💚
