The Path to Renewal
God’s call to His people that ”if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways”(2 Chronicles 7:14) establishes the essential elements of true repentance. This isn’t just feeling sorry for our sins but involves humility, prayer, actively seeking God, and decisive turning from wrong paths. Like a journey that requires both leaving one place and moving toward another, genuine repentance involves both turning from sin and turning toward God.
