Through Jeremiah, God speaks some of the most tender words in Scripture: ”I have loved you with an everlasting love: ”I have drawn you with unfailing kindness. ”(Jeremiah 31:3) Notice the personal nature of this love -its not just a general benevolence toward creation but a specific, intentional love for His people. This same personal love reaches into our lives today, meeting us in our particular circumstances and needs.
